I have a pretty good jersey collection but I don't judge how good or bad a jersey looks based on it's number

Only kids care more about looking the part than actually playing it
Not really. you don't have to be a "kid" to care about the looking part.

14 is just an ugly number.

I don't see why everyone hates it so much.

Wasn't the greatest decision, but it wasn't a bad decision by any means either.
You guys gave up so much shit to get RGIII...you would think you'd address depth at other positions with the picks you do have left. This is why head coaches shouldn't have GM authority.

Justin Blackmon - #14 (Number of passes Gabby will sail over his head a game)
Andre Branch - #90 (Love it)
Bryan Anger - #19 (For how many punts he'll have a game)
Brandon Marshall - #53 (dunno, fuck him tho)

Only the young ones care about flashy uniforms and all that shit. Never knew there was such a thing as an ugly number. I admit that WR's should all be wearing 80's, like the used to, tho

The number 14 was selected by Justin Blackmon from the available numbers. He made the decision yesterday on his visit.
Hmm, doesn't sound like its final.. Sounds like he's waiting for another number to open up. I expect Jarrett Dillard to get cut, so 87?

Three total picks over the course of the next three years. Plenty of picks left for depth to afford taking a backup QB, which is an important position to have a quality player. As I said earlier, with Griffin's style of play, he's a higher injury risk. I hope that doesn't happen, but it is something that you need to take into account, and be prepared for.

Best case scenario, he develops and we flip him to a desperate team like Philly or New England did.

I feel far more comfortable knowing Rex Grossman or John Beck isn't one play away from stepping onto the football field.

Where in the world did you get that from what you posted in the quote?

If Griffin is that high of an injury risk...then giving up 3-firsts and a 2nd for him is insane.

Bengals probably have the best draft right now.

No, I mean how does what you posted make it seem like it's not official?
Because he was gave a list of AVAILABLE numbers. I believe he told Michael Irvin he wants to wear 88 at the next level. Jags have never been the type of team to take a # away from a player and to give it to somebody else, he'll probably have to earn a number. So I expect him to choose a different number after the preseason. Much like Hakeem Nicks did. He went from 18 to 88.

I'm not saying Griffin himself is an injury risk, but running QB's have a greater chance at getting injured than statues. See: Vick

And they didn't give up 3 firsts... fuck. Everybody says that.

2 firsts.

If Justin Blackmon makes the 53-man roster , he will be the first player in franchise history to wear No. 14 in a regular season game.
