You do know that Robinson is not great right? WOOO.. HES FAST.. Who Cares if they cant cover?
Robinson is an odd choice given he's the complete opposite of a zone cover corner. Either the Vikes are staring down the barrel of a scheme change...or they're overrating Robinson's ability to adjust to the cover 2.

Apparently Gene Smith does infact think Bryan Anger can be the best punter in the league and felt he was way worth the value in the 3rd round.

He better be... Or Else!!

I'd rather of had TY dammit..

Well, if he's going to be a compliment he'll be good somewhere too. He'll break a few long ones.

Yeah, can't figure out why the hell Jags are reaching for a punter in the 3rd...when I would bet money no other team even had "punter" on their mind till the last pair of rounds, if at all.

Fluid movement skills. Flips his hips and keeps pace vertically. Alert in zone. Very good ball production. Drives on throws and times pass breakups. Shows burst to recover. Willing wrap tackler. Competed well against former Georgia star WR A.J. Green as a sophomore. Has worked as a “gunner.”
Small-framed, speedy corner with suddenness, ball skills and tackling ability to develop into a No. 2 corner. Is most comfortable in off coverage or zone where he can jump routes and react to plays in front of him
Possesses legitimate NFL cover skills. Has a quick, low backpedal with a fluid hip turn to cover receivers down the field. Has at least adequate straight-line speed and good balance, fluidity to change directions. Alert defender for zone coverage, showing good understanding of route progressions occuring behind him and a quick burst downhill to break on underneath passes in front of him. Very good hand-eye coordination and timing to knock passes away as the receiver attempts to secure the catch. Highly competitive. Raised his level of play against top competition. Emerged as a standout punt returner in 2010, earning honorable mention accolades by averaging 15.2 yards per return (ninth in the country) as a sophomore, though he did not
return a punt for score over his career. Played in all 38 games of his UCF career and has had no known injuries.
Seems like all these people think he can play corner. Your hate towards all the Vikings picks is just because you hate me, get over yourself.

I've watched Robinson, he's nothing special other than a 40 time.

& I like Kalil (Hate his number) and I love Harrison Smith. So, you're wrong. Like always.

We drafted a film director in the 3rd round, and we still don't have any receivers. Awesome.

You commented on both of them as if they were not good picks. Also I don't think Robinson can play man so we will use him as a zone corner.

Winfield
Cook
Robinson
Carr
Bowman
Allen

Not no big names, but its decent. For sure better then what we had last season.

According to Gene Smith, he said Anger was a 3rd/4th round player. We do need a punter, because we lost games last year due to horrible punting and putting offenses into good scoring position. We already have a very good defense, just needed a good punter to add to that. Now.. the Needs are gone. Jags are full at WR, CB, and we have a punter. We're free to do whatever now in the other rounds.

I have actually seen that he was projected around there too. I just didn't see a team taking a punter so soon.

You still took a punter in a round when no other team in the league was even considering drafting one

Thought you did, that is my bad.

I still think that the Robinson pick is great. He will be asked to play zone which is what he shines at, and he is what we wanted to get as a return man.

Really hate how Gabbert gets this label of just a horrible QB.

I mean, dumbass media just needs to look at the facts.

He was a rookie QB who was viewed as the most Raw QB who needed to sit a year coming from a spread offense to a Pro Style offense with no offseason due to the lockout and he didnt get him playbook until the lockout was over.

His starting WRs were Mike Thomas and Jason Hill. Jason Hill is now a 6th WR on Denvers roster and Mike Thomas is a slot WR.

He gets this rep of being a "Scared" QB. No, Dirk Koetter (Horrible OC) Gave Gabbert normally 1 or 2 options. & If them options weren't open.. then to get out of there. So alot of the sacks/hits Gabbert took was coverage sacks because the WRs werent open.

His Starting RT Eben Britton didn't play not even 1 game all season because of a back injury. Leaving Mr. "I let him right by me" Guy Whimper at RT.

Jack Del Rio never keen on letting the Jaguars become a passing team. As soon as he was fired, it was obvious that the Coaching Staff was holding Gabbert back. His QB coach was Mike Sheppard (A WR Coach that has been with the Bengals for years) .. Jack thought it would be GREEEEAT to put him as the QB coach cause he was a QB inthe 70s or some shit.

He now has better weapons in Justin Blackmon, Laurent Robinson, Mike Thomas back in the Slot. Marcedes Lewis won't be battling a custody battle this year during the season like he did last year, his mind was clearly off of football. A stong Oline infront of him, and the best RB in the NFL behind him. Gabbert will clearly improve and be a very good QB in this league. I just dont get how people can hate on a dude when people like Aikman, Eli Manning, Etc have all came out and had shitty rookie season and turned it around once they finally got comfortable with the weapons around them, and the offense.

Well even though Iam disappointed we drafted a punter in the 3rd, who knows.. We would of never got him if we didnt take him. We traded out 4th Rounder to get Justin Blackmon. So it was either that, or pray he falls to the 5th which was unlikely. If he turns out as good as Gene Smith thinks he will, then hes very much so worth the pick.
