I was watching the Knicks vs. Heat and JVG was talking about flopping and how it should be removed from the league. Has the NBA gotten too soft? Is it alright where its at? What would you do to change it if it should be improved?

This is like asking if the earth is round.
However, basketball has always been soft.

That's not the least bit true ^

Maybe soft compared to football, but it definitely hasn't always been soft.

A hell of a lot softer than it used to be.

Yes, I think it has gotten softer and they need to call fouls on obvious flops. Shit is getting ridiculous and it needs to stop. I would also bring back hand checking.

Last night was a good game and the opposite of a soft NBA between the Bulls and Heat. I enjoyed it actually.

Flops need to be ignored. The anticipation call needs to be eliminated. If Dirk goes up for a shot and his defender is within five feet of him, the whistle blows. No more touch fouls. No more elbow graze whistles where the elbow graze happens maybe one in five times.

Because maybe you feel it has stayed the same.

The NBA has gotten softer but I don't think it's taking away from the game at all. I like the product more now.
