this guy better run his fucking ass off because i don't like the pick.

cut half our o-line before last season and had a great opportunity to start to build up the OL again. ugh.
Damn it, I completely agree. This guy better fucking run fast as hell. Now we really NEED an OL in the 2nd round. I think the Giants wouldve taken Doug Martin if the Bucs didnt jump ahead of us.

Somebody tell me something good about McClellin...

He was seriously one of the last people I wanted (out of the top players available).

I would've rather gone OL and I was all about not drafting an OL and getting a DE.

Would be a no brainer, at least in my mind.

Well, Dre Kirkpatrick was pretty much written in stone so it didn't surprise me. Needed a guard and got that, now it's time to draft a WR and maybe RB Pead from Cincy later on. Can't believe the Steelers lucked out with David DeCastro, fell directly to them, unbelievable.

Might not have been the glamorous pick a lot of Lions fans wanted, but I like Riley Reiff.
Will probably take over for Cherilus this year. Plan would obviously be eventually moving over to LT to replace Backus, and possibly moving Backus inside and getting rid of Peterman. But regardless I do like the pick, nice that we took a lineman finally. Now I'm praying like a champ that Jenkins falls to us in the second round.

Tom Heckert had Weeden at #13 on his big board, good lord.

I do like him as a QB, but the age man..

Weeden would scare the fuck out of me. Unless he is ready to contribute ASAP, I don't see how he could have been picked that early.

Reiff isnt a LT. Hes a RT and at worst Guard. Doesn't have the hips or footwork to play LT. His arms are short too.

Well he's obviously going to start from day 1. They already said they're going to try to trade Colt.

We need to get him a receiver at 37, Randle or Hill. Just has to be done.

I'd be fine building around Weeden, T-Rich, Hill/Randle, Greg Little.

Just stating what Schwartz said, said the plan was to make him a left tackle. Has to get a bit stronger to get there though.

I'd be fine with him at RT though. I kind of want to see Jason Fox take over at left tackle eventually.
