Probably because the latter two were winners in college, but didn't have the big NFL arm. They were just assumed that their NCAA success would travel into the NFL, which it really didnt.

Cutler, on the other hand, went to Vandy and actually had one of the best arms for a 1st round pick in a long time. He's Top 5 in arm strength in the NFL currently.

Cutler was more of a QB than the other two, just most thought that Vince and Leinart's intangebiles were enough to make them great QBs

VY had the arm, but no intangibles. Leinart didn't have the intangibles either. The VY hype was just about his athleticism and arm, but I can't remember what the Leinart hype was. I guess just that he was a winner? I can't remember.

Leinart was the accurate, intelligent QB that lacked a big arm.

McShay just said he heard from a very credible source that the Vikings will take Claiborne.

I think theres a good chance Khalil could slip to 7.

I'm beginning to think that as well, though I think Kalil would at least go 6th or even 5th (not sure if it'll be the Bucs or a trade).

this could EASILY be a smoke screen by the Vikings, who have said they want to trade down, to get TB to trade with them.

TB has 2 guys on their board: Claiborne and Richardson. If MIN takes Mo, TB is screwed, and would probably trade down into the early/mid 1st or something. This could easily be a smokescreen by the Vikings to have TB move up to get one of those two.

According to trade value, #3, #131, #163 for #5, #37, #165, #197 is a good deal.

Its basically trading a 5th for a 2nd and 7th, and moving down 2 spots in the 1st and 6th rounds. And you can still get Kalil. Would be a great move by Minnesota.

Really starting to think this.

Indy - Luck
Was - Griffin
Minn - Claiborne
Cleveland - Richardson
Tampa - Kuechly (Tampa is a Big ? if Claiborne isn't there).
STL - Khalil
Jax - Blackmon.

Former Jags WR coach Todd Monken said that the Jags have been hitting him up a lot about Justin Blackmon (Monken is now the OC for OSU) . He said he gets the sense they want him badly.

That actually wouldn't surprise me at all. I mean I have Kalil 5th, but if Claiborne and Richardson are gone I really expect them to move back and target a corner like Gilmore. They did host Kalil for a visit so if push comes to shove, I think they wouldn't mind taking the best LT in the draft. Kuechly wouldn't surprise me at all either.

TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline is "hearing" from league insiders that the Browns will draft Alabama RB Trent Richardson at No. 4 overall and the best available wide receiver at No. 22.
We're not sure how these "league insiders" would have access to Cleveland's draft plans. Although it's certainly easy to picture the Browns going with Richardson, we'd place this news in the speculation category as opposed to a sourced report. Kendall Wright, Rueben Randle, and Stephen Hill are among the receivers potentially available with the 22nd pick.

Even dirtier than you think - they signed Carl Nicks and are moving Zuttah to center.
:spideypalm:

How did I forget about that.

If TB has a good draft, I think they can take the NFL South. I really like Freeman

Question.

I have this.

Indy - Luck
Wash - Griffin
Minn - Claiborne
Clev - Richardson
Tampa - Cox
STL - Kalil
Jax - Blackmon
Mia - Tannehill
Car - Coples
Buff - Barron/Floyd.

This would be my top 10.

If Barron doesn't go in the top 10, how long before a team like the Chargers trade up for him?

Jags Direct Player of Personnel is on the Radio with Pete Prisco right now.. RAVING HARD about Melvin Ingram .. " (Pound for pound the most athletic player on his team, has the biggest upside out of all the DE's in this years draft, people tend to think his arms will hurt him, Us in Jacksonville feel it will be one of those things that help him because he has en explosive punch and his short arms help him get the punch in before the Oline blocks him "

So..

I think it comes down to Ingram/Blackmon/Cox (if he isn't taken) With the 7th pick if we don't trade down.

Holy... I want him.

4.31 Pro Day 40 Yard Dash.

Most Athletic WR in the draft, period.

40 yard dash means nothing. Look at Hey Bey. And you know he's only 161 pounds right? He'll get killed. And if he adds the 20 pounds he needs he's gonna lose some of that speed.

I seen on twitter he was like 170 when he ran that.. Thats around Desean Jackson weight..

& As for Heyward-Bey. Dude is coming into his own as a WR. I'd still take HeyBey over Crabtree, and twice on sundays.

I don't think people realize that DHB had nearly 1000 yards this year, was 25 yards off. He's not a great WR, nor is he worthy of his draft selection at this point in time, but he's certainly not the absolutely terrible player he was in his first two years.
