I don't know why you keep mentioning the "Brady Quinn thing". The current front office has no affiliation to Brady Quinn, and he is not the reason they haven't drafted a QB in the first round.

First round QBs the Browns have passed on under Holmgren/Heckert:
2010 - Tim Tebow
2011 - Jake Locker, Christian Ponder, Blaine Gabbert

Jake Locker is the only one I would consider on that list to take at 6 in 2011, but the trade down was the right move in 2011, we needed more picks.

So yea, didn't really pass on much talent..
Because its the last time the Browns.. not the fucking Front Office, or anybody.. has taken a 1st Round QB.

& Honestly.. Ponder, Locker, and Gabbert are all now better than what the Browns have now.. even Tebow.. smh

Obviously they are better than what the Browns have at QB but that is no reason to reach for them..

IMO Tanny's a huge reach.. Before this whole draft process started he was a 2nd round QB. He still is, but not he's a top 12 guy just because of the premium. And the reason Weeden and Cousins aren't being pushed up with him is because they don't have his "upside" (I hate the term upside). It's stupid, yes, Tanny shouldn't even be considered at 4.

Browns will select Richardson if he's available.

If the Vikings, for some reason trade the pick to TB to get Richardson, I say Cleveland moves down. Blackmon isn't worth a top 6 pick still in my opinion. And CB makes as much sense for the Browns as RB is for the Vikings. And you dont spend a Top 5 pick on a RT.

So if it goes

IND: Luck
WAS: RGIII
"TB": Richardson

I'd trade down in a second. trade with Carolina maybe so they can get Cox or Claiborne. You can get an extra 2nd rounder out of it, and still get a very good player in the 1st

I don't buy that at all comparing the Vikings drafting a RB to the Browns taking a CB. You don't start 2 RBs on the field at the same time. I wouldn't normally advocate taking a CB at 4 when we already have Haden, but he's a great prospect, and I'm not sure how Heckert feels about taking RBs high in the draft, because he has never done it/never had to do it.

Also, the AFC North is starting to become a better pass league. The Steelers have gone away from running the ball, and the Bengals will air it out more with Dalton and AJ Green. The lone exception being the Ravens with Ray Rice.

Again, I believe they take Richardson, but there is no way they would consider Blackmon or Tannehill over him. Claiborne is the competition.

Cleveland can't go wrong with Richardson or Claiborne. Need a RB after the Hillis departure and Haden & Claiborne would be one of the better CB duo's in the entire NFL and the best in the AFC North. I don't see the Browns taking Blackmon with the #4 pick, if they add a WR it will be with the 22nd pick, or later.
