http://www.blazersedge.com/2012/4/10/2938880/blazers-f-lamarcus-aldridge-travelling-to-vail-for-hip-examThe Portland Trail Blazers announced that All-Star forward LaMarcus Aldridge will not practice on Tuesday because he "continues to experience soreness in his right hip." Aldridge will travel with trainer Jay Jensen to Vail, CO, for further evaluation by Dr. Marc Phillipon. Aldridge is listed as "questionable" for Wednesday's game vs. the Golden State Warriors.
Joe Freeman of The Oregonian quotes Blazers Acting GM Chad Buchanan saying that Aldridge could be shut down.
Buchanan said Blazers are "going to keep the door open" for [shutting down Aldridge]: "If that's what it comes to. That is a possibility. I wouldn't rule it out."
Freeman also quoted Aldridge from Monday night.
"My body is pretty beat up. I'm definitely not getting any better. But I haven't said anything about it."
If they do decide to shut him down it's for the best, obviously we're not going anywhere this season. We'll need him healthy for next season after we retool in the offseason.
