"The Bears likely will open their offseason workout program without disgruntled running back Matt Forte on Monday at Halas Hall.

''The word is that he's not going to be [there], but that's just rumors,'' quarterback Jay Cutler said Tuesday on ''The Silvy & Waddle Show'' on WMVP (1000-AM). ''I know it's going to be hard for Matt to not be there. I think he's pretty disappointed at how things have gone. But it's a business for both sides. The Bears have to do what's best for them in the long run. Matt has to do what's best for him in the long run.''"

The Bears fucked over Matt Forte, plain and simple. Pay the dude, he has been all out beasting and he needs to get paid. He played the season without complaining and got injured. They still wont pay him, man thats some bullshit right there.

Bears offered him a fair contract, he said no... There's no reason to throw crazy money at a RB these days.

He's gonna make $7.7 million this season and even more next season with the franchise tag.

I'd say that should be enough to set him up for the rest of his life...

Not to mention the next contract he would get either from the Bears or another team, if he is able to find that team he thinks will give him the long term deal he thinks he deserves.

RBs drop off in talent so quickly, it's hard to give a guy the years he wants.
