Per the mothership. That would be interesting.
Well I mean, I wouldn't expect them to say "oh yeah we're in discussions and I'm undecided" or something like that.Heard on the radio a few minutes ago that Parcells confirms he talked to Payton, but it wasn't about coaching the team - so I honestly have no idea what to believe right now.
"Everything is hypothetical at this point," Parcells responded when asked about interest in the Saints job, according to David Lennon of Newsday.
Parcells confirmed that he talked to Sean Payton about the Saints situation "when it first happened." When asked if they spoke specifically about the head coaching job, Parcells responded, "Not really."
"Bill Parcells made it clear Wednesday that he wants to do what he can for Sean Payton, regardless of whether or not he leads the New Orleans Saints in the suspended coach's place next season.
Parcells told USA Today that "really, (Payton is) my friend. That's the first thing this is about.
"I feel an obligation, a responsibility to help him," he added about Payton, who worked as an assistant on Parcells' Dallas Cowboys staff from 2003 to 2005."
