Tebow Could Play 20 Snaps A Game

In an NFL Network interview Sunday, coach Rex Ryan suggested Tim Tebow could play up to 20 snaps a game in the Jets' Wildcat package.

It's roughly a third of a game's projected offensive snaps, and sometimes more depending on time of possession. As Jenny Vrentas of the Newark Star-Ledger notes, 20 snaps is more plays than the Jets ran the Wildcat all last season. The Jets are intent on running a Wildcat-heavy offense, so we wouldn't put it past Ryan and Tony Sparano to get Tebow regular snaps and touches. Mark Sanchez won't be happy coming off the field so often.
Wake me up when it's over

If they use this wildcat bullshit and don't let Sanchez get into a groove because they keep pulling him off the field/out to WR every other play, then yeah

lmao, I dunno whats worse
The fact that they're actually considering giving Tebow 20+ snaps per game
Or the fact that they seriously think the wildcat is gonna work to their advantage

I still can't figure out why the fuck they gave Sanchez that contract extension if they were gonna pull this crap.

Because they don't have the slightest clue what they are doing.

Because they didn't know Tebow would be on the market when they did.

Uhhh...no.

The Jets gave Mark the extension AFTER Peyton signed with Denver. Everybody knew Tebow would be available after that

I got the dates confused. They gave him the extension after Peyton eliminated them from the running, not after the Broncos got him, no need to act like an uppity f@ggot.

Well first off, they "passed" on Peyton and basically eliminated themselves from getting him, and then practically told the world Sanchez was their Golden Boy by giving him an extension. Then they trade for Tebow. So you're trying to tell me that the Jets preferred going after Tebow than continuing pursuit of Peyton?

If they at all, wanted to replace the QB prior to Tebow hitting the market, they wouldn't have given Sanchez a 3-year extension when he has 2 years to go prior to the extension. It makes no fucking sense other than it's a circus act to grab the headlines.

So it's ok to come at me up until the point where I prove you wrong... and then you play the victim? C'mon man. If you're gonna come off strong, then don't back off and play it off like you weren't.

Gee - I've said before that they gave Sanchez the extension because he's the only QB in the league who is this sensitive. The Peyton chase was likely getting to him, and the Jets felt obligated to extend him (after they knew they wouldn't get Peyton) to make him feel better and for him to think that he is their guy.

Rockstar - an* :p

so bringing in the most media-circus boy wasn't going to rattle him? Because thats what I thought too when they resigned him after the Peyton chase, but then they do this which is the exact opposite.
