Saints sign Ben Grubbs

The Saints on Thursday agreed to a deal with former Ravens guard Ben Grubbs, the team announced.

A source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter that it's a five-year, $36M deal that includes a $10M signing bonus and $16M guaranteed.

Real solid replacement for Carl Nicks.

Nicks is probably the best guard in the game, but Grubbs was probably the 2nd best guard available in FA. Happy to have him. Some people may forget that the Saints have another elite guard on the right side.

Yeah, Grubbs was one of the better free agent guards out there, so it was a good signing for the Saints..
