As part of three-team deal, Nene goes to the Wizards, JaVale McGee to Denver and Nick Young to Clippers, sources tell Y! Sports.
Kind of a lopsided deal to be honest.

Lopsided by the fact that LA gets Young for garbage. Though I think Young is a FA right?

This has to suck for Nene though. Just signed a 5 year deal and now he's stuck in Washington.

Everyone got a little something. Though I'm not sure why the Nuggets wanted McGee rather than Nene.
I feel bad for Nene lol.

Nene seemed to have been playing so-so this year. Other guys have stepped up from time to time.

They probably wanted McGee who is younger and more explosive. But isn't he a free agent after this season to?

They also are trying to sign Chandler to a big contract.

The Nuggets and Wilson Chandler are close to an agreement on a contract worth more than $30 million over five seasons.

After Denver successfully traded Nene, the team had greater financial flexibility in the long-term. Denver signed Nene to a five-year deal worth nearly $70 million in free agency in December, but soon began to regret the decision and seek trade scenarios.

The Kings reportedly declined a trade offer from the Nuggets of Nene for DeMarcus Cousins, according to a source.

Denver traded Nene on Thursday to Washington in a three-team deal.

The pursuit of a trade by the Nuggets came more than a month ago, shortly following Nene's $67 million extension.

that's what I was thinking -- wanted to clear up that CAP space for Wilson and Nene was the easiest to move.

There is a really interesting blog on thescore.com that talks about the dynamics of this trade in that supposedly it was always Denver's intention to trade Nene after that extension:

http://blogs.thescore.com/tbj/2012/03/16/why-trading-nene-was-always-denvers-plan/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+TheBasketballJones+%28The+Basketball+Jones%29

Whether or not they resign McGee this at least clears out that salary since as time goes along they are not saddled with his cap number. As for Washington, I don't really get this trade since while they may have wanted to get rid of McGee I don't get why they would want to take on Nene's salary when they are trying to rebuild still. Then again, they are the Wizards...
