The Celtics have offered Paul Pierce to the Blazers, according to a report from ESPN. It is unclear who Boston sought in return.

The Blazers are not interested due to the $32 million remaining on Pierce's contract over the next two seasons.

Portland is preserving their cap flexibility with the hopes of re-signing Nicolas Batum this offseason.
Probably won't happen but still kind of surprising.

Wow I cant believe the Celtics are willing to trade Paul Pierce. After everything PP has done for that organization and all that he has been through with them.

I assume it was like Pierce for Batum and Camby, which I would have loved

Celtics know they have to rebuild and add young talent. Without giving up the big three how are they gonna manage getting good young talent?

At least we're not stupid enough to trade Batum for Pierce, I would've given up on this team had that happened. lol
