The Post Game - Rajon Rondo was prepared to give football a shot last year as the NBA lockout lingered.

"I think I'm a pretty good athlete," Rondo told ABC. "I'm not gonna say it's an easy job that I could have just went out there and did anything. But I would have to give it a shot."

At 6-1, 171 pounds, he was a star quarterback during his prep days at Louisville's Eastern High School.

Rondo went as far as speaking with Patriots head coach Bill Belichick about his secret plan.

"I was actually serious, I talked to coach Belichick about that but I had a contract already with the Celtics so it didn't work out," Rondo said.

Does not being able to shoot translate into not being able to throw the football?

Rondo would get hit hard, and then cry about it for the rest of the season

At his size and speed, only thing I could think of would maybe be some type of kick/punt returner. However, the first time he got lit up may have ended his football career.
