The Boston Celtics are aggressively trying to trade Rajon Rondo, their fourth-leading scorer and one of the NBA's best point guards, sources told ESPN The Magazine's Chris Broussard.

The Celtics find Rondo's personality to be too high-maintenance and his clashes with coach Doc Rivers remain an off-court distraction, sources told Broussard, and the front office is now actively pitching him to other teams. With the Celtics realizing they are no longer title contenders, they don't believe his point guard prowess is worth the headaches Rondo brings, sources say. And they do not want to build around him.
I'd take him in NOLA.

hes really the only player of value. its a tough choice, build around him or completely blow it up. that team is known for winning rings though, not just games. if it needs to be done then they need to do it.

i however don't know what id do lol

It's a fine line. He's a PG with excellent talents, but also do you really want to feel like you are babysitting someone in the NBA?

He kind of seems like a prima donna.

The way he reacted after the Perk trade, I mean come on.

Source: Celtics Aren't Shopping Rondo

Rajon Rondo has been linked to trade rumors throughout the season.

"I do not make comments on trade rumors because it never ends," said Danny Ainge. "Rondo's been our best player."

A source tells the Globe that Rondo is not being shopped, but that the Celtics will listen to offers from teams if it improves the club.

Don't really see why the Celtics wouldn't just try to build around him, instead of moving him out.

They were all pissed after the Perk trade...

Don't think Doc even liked it.

If Im the Celtics I blow it up beginning with trading Rondo for valuable picks and a young player to build around. Then the contracts of the Big 3 will end so they will be pretty bad for next year with 2 great picks coming in.
