MLBTR --

We already know that the Marlins have made Albert Pujols a contract offer and that the Cardinals met with his agent today in Milwaukee, but Yahoo's Tim Brown says those are just two of at least three teams "actively jockeying" for Pujols' services. While Brown is unsure of the identity of the third team, he guesses it could be the Rangers or Cubs.

The list of suitors for Pujols figures to grow before the slugger eventually makes a decision. According to Joe Strauss of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch (Twitter link), the Cards plan to stay under the radar in the bidding, and say that nothing is imminent between the two sides (Twitter link).

rangers really should go for albert or prince
it will also protect them if they cant keep hamilton

remember, they could always throw feliz in the roto and re-insert ogando, so dont worry about them chasing a hitter over a pitcher since it looks like wilson is a goner

I agree. They already got a young, solid rotation there. You put together Lewis, Holland, Harrison, Ogando, and all you have to do is fill out one more spot. Move Feliz into the rotation, put Mike Adams in to Close.

rotoworld:
A major league executive told Jeff Passan of Yahoo! Sports that he's "100 percent certain" free agent Albert Pujols will re-sign with the Cardinals this winter.
The reason for that unnamed executive's optimism lies in the fact that no big-budget team has stepped forward yet to express public interest. The Marlins made a bid, but it was well below what the Cardinals offered Pujols before the start of spring training. Passan identifies the Nationals and Rangers as potential sleepers, but those two clubs are likely to have more interest in Prince Fielder, who is four years younger than Albert.

I'm glad. Pujols would be dumb IMO to leave St. Louis.

I had a gut feeling he'd stay in St. Louis, just couldn't see him leaving. He's a god there.

if he was this age 2 years ago and up for Free Agency, he'd have every team scrounging up dollars to sign him. Unfortunately they all saw how quickly Rodriguez fell off the map, and if it takes an 8 year deal to top St. Louis it's too much of a risk.
