People forget how "Flacco-like" Brady was before Moss/Welker arrived.

It’s closer than the average fan might think, aside from the interceptions category.

Which is only like the most important part lol

Eli turned it over so many times more than Peyton in more games it's not even funny.

a lot of those interceptions bounced off the hands of Steve Smith, Kevin Boss & Mario Manningham. Sometimes ya gotta look beyond the stats.

PS. In no way am I defending his statement that he is as good as Tom Brady. Just pointing something out.

I'd +1 this every day of the week and twice on sundays.

If the interceptions #'s were the same and Eli's Completeion % was lower, you'd use that 1 stat as your big argument.

Like I said in my previous post, a good number of those interceptions were off the hands of his own receivers.

My point is he actually brought out some useful stats instead of sitting there with his head up his ass, which he normally does.

lolol this is the funniest thread
So for Eli we look past the stats, but for Brady we don't?

Don't forget that before Welker/Moss, he had Branch/Givens, who are nothing without him. And won 3 SB's.

Meanwhile, Manning had Burress/Shockey.

That's looking past stats, and that is fact. If he didn't average 1.1 or w/e pics a game, he would be a very good QB. But because of that, he's above average.

I also forgot, last year, Brady's 2nd best statistical season, he did it without Moss, and Welker didn't even have 900 yards, and had 7 TD's.Nice try with that Domerocker.

Eli is a good quarterback who has the ability to win Super Bowls due to a proven track record. There are only a handful of QB's who I would take instead of him and if thats what Manning will be for the rest of his career as a decent QB, then I am content because most teams dont have that. Eli Manning did what he was supposed to do and that was deliver and contribute significantly to a Super Bowl win.

I disagree that he is on the same level as Brady, but I do agree with the fact that this will end up being his best year as an NFL starter.

Ahem......

They'll still try to take credit away from Eli because he doesn't score all of his team's TDs.

And if you took Eli & Tom and swapped them, people would still say Eli isn't elite because then he doesn't beat Tom Brady in Super Bowls. It's absolutely ridiculous. The hatred for this guy is unbelievable.

Most of the great QBs get a first round bye, useless stat.

How is it groundbreaking that a player that played 4 games outthrew someone with less than 4 games?
