I just gave him credit above.

Him winning 2 super bowl rings doesn't mean hes top 5. He had a good year this year, but lets not forget that fucking god awful year last year. Most INTs in the league? You got to be able to put up years like he has this year consistently to be called top 5.
Because you take statistics too goddamn literally. You did not watch every Giants game last season. At least 8 of those INTs were off the hands of his own receivers.

I don't even care about the Super Bowl rings. He could have lost and I'd still say he's top 5, because he carried the fucking team. Week after Week the defense gave up more points, and Eli pulled together unbelievable drives to win the games. He's clutch, and to me that makes him Elite.

no one here is talking shit. dont bring up gabbert just cause he doesnt think eli is top five, not a whole lot of people do... mainly giants fans.
i'll apologize for that. More outta anger.

Still annoys the shit out of me. He's proven the haters time and time again but it's never enough.

Oh, so glad you have a camera in my living room knowing when Im watching a Giants game.

I say something about Gabbert not having good WRs and all of a sudden, its excuses.. but Giant fans can go around here and use the "INTS WERE OFF THE HANDS OF HIS WRS" bullshit and not get a word out of any other poster on SI about using excuses? The fuck out of here.

its just simply because hes not playing better than ben(bottom five, imo) on a constant basis. when he does then im sure he will break that "elite" level.

& If you continue to ignore what everybody is saying and still say "In my opinion, hes top 5" Then why even post and continue to argue it? If our opinion can't change yours, what makes you think that yours can change ours? We're not the biased ones.

Statistics:

2 Super Bowls (Only Tom Brady has more out of active QB's)
2 Super Bowl MVPs (Only 5 players have done it in NFL history)
15 4th Quarter TD's this season (ties NFL Record)
8 game winning drives this season
Holds NFL Record for most road playoff wins (5)
Most consecutive completions to start a Super Bowl (9)

He has beaten the greatest QB of our time twice in the Super Bowl in clutch situations. No other QB has ever done that against Tom Brady. Eli has beaten the team of the decade twice to deny them 2 Super Bowls. Eli Manning gets it done when it matters most. He makes plays when the game is on the line. Thats what makes him elite and top 5, its that clutch characteristic. He just beat Matt Ryan, Aaron Rodgers, Alex Smith, and Tom Brady. All very good and great quarterbacks. Eli is the most clutch QB in the league today and its not even close.

LMFAO. Man, you just lost all credibility.

You sure do have a boner for guys that can come back in the end and win it.

Tebow and now Eli.

Because the WRs were dropping passes and they got picked off. WHat part of that don't you understand?

And Like I said, my Gabbert post was more outta anger and I apologized. You know as well as I do I've stood up right next to you and defended Gabbert as well.

They're not excuses they are goddamn fact. He threw passes, WRs didn't catch them, and they ended up in the hands of defenders. It's fact. It's fact. It's not an excuse. It's a goddamn fact.

Either way I give up on this argument. I don't got the energy to do it. I really don't.

And I don't get it, he didn't BEAT no other QB, he isn't on defense. Justin Tuck, Osi, and JPP beat the QBs. Not Eli.

This whole thing is getting like yall saying Tebow was the reason why a broncos defense got a game winning INT or something fucking stupid. This isn't the double fucking stuffed racing league where hes actually against the other QB.

Alex Smith is a mediocre QB. If I lost all my credibility on that 1 comment. Then how many times how you lost you're credibility? I said Tebow would make the playoffs and he did it. I said Eli is top 5 and he proved it this year with his championship run. But I'll also admit when I was wrong, I said CJ was the best RB in the league and he was very mediocre. I also said that if Gabbert started the Jags would make the playoffs. And yet, you kam are never wrong..... lol.

You bitch about people bringing up Gabbert and the Jags and yet you bring up my "love" for Tebow all the time. Stop being such a hypocrite.

Comeback in the end and win it. Wow, what a concept right? Winning it in the end....

I will admit though, the Pats kinda helped us out in the end. Hernandez dropped a pass right in his hands, and Brady had a bad pass to Welker. Both those plays could have really changed things up.

Our D deserves some credit, but not all. They gave up a drive to Brady where he went 10/10 on that drive. It was sad to watch. Then in the 2nd half once the Secondary finally locked down on receivers, our D-Line was able to apply some pressure. And then losing, Eli makes a few huge throws, and leads us to a win.

The kid's a fighter, and he comes through in the clutch. He may not look the best, and his accent is annoying, and when he scrambles it doesn't look pretty, and sometimes is being tackled andd switches to his left hand for a stupid throw. But the kid will go to war for ya any day and quite frankly I can't ask for anything more than that.

Doesn't make him top 5 quite frankly. They're all good qualities, but not good enough.

I could think of maybe 5/6 QBs I'd rather have.

Brady had a record 16 straight completions in that same game, just saying.

Elite needs to be more consistent to be considered elite. If you go by just the superbowl years, sure why not, but he still needs more to do to crack that top 5, and he's younger than other guys in that top 5 so they most likely wont be around in a few years and eli most likely will be. If he hasn't already, he'd crack the top 5. A couple more solid years and he'll be top 5.

Eli came into the league with so much pressure; his last name was Manning and he was playing in New York City. What has he done? Led us to two Super Bowl victories. Giants have not had one losing season since he has been the starter.

If you really want to say his 25 interceptions made him have that "fucking god awful" year then take a look at Brees' last year. He threw 22 interceptions, I guess he had just a jesus awful year compared to Eli.

Right now we can talk about how great the Giants receivers are but does everybody forget how big of a question mark they were coming into the year? Steve Smith and Kevin Boss were both gone, Eli's two favorite targets and guys he went to whenever he needed to. We had Nicks who was already great, but Cruz is an undrafted free agent who almost didn't even make this team this year. Ballard caught 34 passes in his four years at Ohio State and this year he caught 38.

Eli Manning turned these guys into good and great players behind one of the worst offensive lines in the league. He is the most clutch and he is a top 5 quarterback in this league. WORLD FUCKING CHAMPIONS BABY!!!!

Child fucking please.

There was no doubt about Cruz.

Cruz is Tom Coughlins little favorite project. Ever since the Preseaon his rookie year, Tom knew he wasn't going anywhere.

Nah Cruz made the team with ease. They knew the speed he had and weren't going to toss him away that easily.

Completely false. One preseason game last year against the Jets backups meant it was no doubt? There was never a doubt about this kid? He just went undrafted? He was almost cut in favor of Derek Hagan? Him catching 0 passes the first game of the season and then only 2 for 17 yards our second game against the Rams?

Even then people were expecting him to go for 1500 yards and 9 td? Nobody predicted that; not even the most biased Giants fans. I sincerely hope you're not that ignorant.

Doesn't mean they were about to cut him. They knew last year that he wasn't ready to play. Tom Coughlin is a fucking genius when it comes to WRs. Always has been, and it always will be his specialty. Last year was a redshirt year for Cruz. Once Eli got his trust this year, it was game on. Cruz was never "almost" cut. Stop the bullshit.
