Mike D'Antoni said after Saturday's game that he is "leaning toward" starting Jeremy Lin at PG.
"Let me watch the Super Bowl and then we'll figure it out," said D'Antoni. The Knicks' guard play has been poor all season and they just won behind a huge effort from Lin, so there are plenty of reasons to believe he could become the starter. The return of Baron Davis looms as a threat to his production, but owners should stash Lin while we see how this plays out.
I know some of you Knicks fans will be happy to hear this lol

Thats cool, good to see him get his shot.

I doubt he'll get 25 a game, but he could easily do better than everyone else.

if he can give us like 12 and 8 a game, I think we'd be good. He actually ran the pick-and-roll well in the last game, so that's a plus. He got a few lobs for Chandler also. He looked good all around that game, so I hope he can do those things as a starter.

Just give him a shot. Shumpert is more of a SG and Douglas is awful.

Yes.

Its funny I told my little brother after the game when they came here, as we sat in the nosebleeds... that Lin needs more PT.

He actually penetrates which is what our offense needs, it creates the shots our players can hit, rather then take 40+ 3's

Mike D'Antoni announced that he will start Jeremy Lin at point guard Monday night against the Jazz, following Lin's 25-point performance on Saturday against the Nets.

The Knicks have already started three other point guards, with Toney Douglas, Mike Bibby and Iman Shumpert receiving the call.

“This is a system that is beneficial to attacking point guards,” Lin said. “That’s what I try to do.”

Lin has attached himself to assistant coach Kenny Atkinson, who is a master at working with players and keeping them sharp mentally.

“That’s the thing, people like Kenny working behind the scenes and never get the recognition,” Lin said. “Kenny has been unbelievable every day.”

Before his breakout performance on Saturday, Jeremy Lin was a prime candidate to be waived if the Knicks were to sign J.R. Smith or another veteran.

"There have been really down times for me, last year and this year, but this is obviously one of the highs," Lin said. "I'm just thankful for the opportunity. Obviously, I don't always know if that's going to be there or not."

I'm glad Lin is finally getting paid; kid's been crashing on couches and getting owned in Monopoly all season.

Gothamist Lin’s $800,000 contract wasn’t guaranteed by the Knicks until yesterday afternoon: “So for the past six weeks, Lin, 23, has been sleeping in his brother Josh’s living room, waiting for clarity and career security.” Josh Lin, a dental student at NYU who lives in the Lower East Side, offered the bright side, “He has his own couch.” But actually Lin has some other couches to call home: He Tweeted on Saturday, “God is good during our ups and our downs! Glad we got the win!! Thanks to @landryfields for lettin me crash on his couch last night lol” Lin seems to be fitting in just fine with his teammates: “Trying to get over @landryfields KILLIN me in monopoly with park place and boardwalk…” and “Just lost to @tysonchandler in monopoly too…contemplating retiring from the game. Time to zzz and get ready for tmrw” The Times points out, “Yet the Lin phenomenon transcends race or nationality. He resonates with devout Christians, because he speaks openly of his faith, a sort of Taiwanese Tim Tebow. He taps into the passions of Harvard alumni, Ivy Leaguers, New Yorkers and anyone anywhere who loves an underdog.” But the security guards probably know who he is now—back on January 4, Lin Tweeted, “Everytime i try to get into Madison Square Garden, the security guards ask me if im a trainer LOL.

I think it's a good story and all that, but who expects him to keep this going?

I mean he's averaging 26 points and 9 assists as a starter lol

It's not like he's knocking down 3s, out there. He's driving to the basket.

I don't think he'll do much tomorrow night. Tough matchup with LA, Pick & Roll will be tough to beat Bynum & I got a feeling Bynum will block the shit out of Lin if he drives to the hoop. But if he surprises me and still finds a way to drive into the paint and get points or get to the foul line, then I'll believe it.

If he was just knocking down 3s I wouldn't believe one bit of it.

But, he's also running that Pick & Roll exceptionally well with Chandler, and Pick & Roll is Amare's strength -- if he can get that chemistry with STAT as well, he can keep getting good assist numbers.

Lin is the real deal and he is going to only get better in the league. Dude has vast amounts of potential because he is still so young.

I know exactly when he comes down to earth. Tipoff of Friday Night's game vs the Lakers. He ain't gonna get in the paint against the Lakers like he has so far.

And I think he'll be a solid player -- I'm starting to wonder if he was overlooked because of racial profiling. If he turns out to just be a fluke then obviously I take it back, but it makes you wonder.
