Sam Amick:
“Also, the Lakers reportedly are trying to find a way to land Paul Pierce. Not sure yet, what they are willing to give up. But again, it won’t be an easy deal to make. The Celtics love him, obviously.”

A 3 team deal would be probable

I could see this

Lakers get: Pierce, Scola
Rockets get: Gasol, Walton
Celtics get: Martin, picks

Even if a deal makes sense, I don't foresee the Celtics sending Pierce to the Lakers.

i think i'd do it

and before you guys flame out on me saying how can you even think about passing that up, 2 things

1. Pau is actually playing good D this year. he's a softy on O because this offense doesnt fit him that well, but he's still a better jump shooter than Scola
2. Pau has proven to be a great NBA center as well. insurance if Bynum gets hurt

only 2 reasons i would have reservations about the trade

Celtics need to rebuild, and should do anything they can to do such.

Pierce has a full NTC. Growing up as a Laker fan, I'd assume the Lakers would be one of the few places he'd accept a trade to

the rivalry is bull shit

in the 90s and 2000s when both teams either sucked together, or 1 more than the other, no one cared about the other. trust me, i live here

he'll go up in the rafters regardless

I just dont want to repeat what happened in the 90's. We were aging, but nobody wanted to trade away Bird and McHale for young pieces... then we sucked until 2008.

Trade away the trash for some young pieces/picks and rebuild already

The Celtics are mad dumb, they've drafted Al Jefferson, Chauncey Billups, and Joe Johnson and didn't keep any of them.

I could understand moving Al Jeff but getting rid of the other two was just retarded.

You can say that about any prospect

We traded away the 5th overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft for an older vet.... guess that was a mad dumb move too, right?

No, because it brought in a legit star...

Same reason I excused the Al-Jeff trade because it brought in KG...
