Marshon would not average more than 10ppg if Dwight was there

so lets sort this out. basing starting lineups off of starts per player (Lopez plays PF tho)

PF: Lopez v Anderson. I doubt Lopez puts up 18ppg with Deron and Dwight. ANDERSON
SF: D. James v Turkoglu. This isnt close, at all. TURKOGLU
SG: Gaines v J.Richardson. Again, not close. J.RICHARDSON
PG: Williams v Nelson. While an off year, Deron is still better. WILLIAMS

NETS BENCH = MAGIC BENCH

I'd take Orlando over New Jersey

Ryan Anderson is not better then Brook Lopez, that's absurd.

And eventually Marshon Brooks is going to be starting at SG, and going forward I'd much rather have him then Jason Richardson, and it's not even close.

Can we not overrate Marshon Brooks though. He's putting up good stats on a bad team, in no way is he the steal of the draft...

Regardless of what a certain Nets fan thinks of him in terms of proclaiming him being the steal of the draft, I'd rather him on my team moving forward then Jason Richardson.

And let's also not overrate Brook Lopez. He's a terrible rebounder for a 7-footer, not a great defender, and his stats are ALSO inflated by playing on the Nets.

Is Kris Humphries legit too?

Star power rules in the NBA and putting two stars on the same team (whose play styles don't clash, I'm looking at you STAT and Melo) will have a bigger impact than Dwight playing with a bunch of average at best players.

Dwight and Deron are both really good defenders with Dwight being the best in the league. The Deron/Dwight pick and roll would be unstoppable.

I'm not overrating him either, I simply said I'd much rather have him then Ryan Anderson. His value is much higher.

Humphries is a solid role player, nothing more.

Which was my point, Marshon will be starting for the Nets soon and I'd rather have him then J-Rich. I was referring to bosox post.

This kept the Dallas Mavericks from winning a title, right?

Exception, not the rule.

The Pistons and them are the only teams I can think of that won without two star.

Kobe/Pau x2
KG/Ray/PP
Tim/Manu/TP
Wade/Shaq
Kobe/Shaq
MJ/Pippen

Not to mention that the supporting cast of Orlando is garbage compared to what Dirk had around him.

But all of those teams also had good supporting casts, you need one in order to win a title. And if Dwight goes to NJ, he's not going to have one (look at all the scrubs on that roster!) I definitely think Dwight has a better chance to win in Orlando than he would in New Jersey, especially considering NJ would be handicapping their ability to get better by trading away picks to the Magic.

New Jersey isn't a top 4 team in the East if the trade goes through...

Brook Lopez had a usage percentage of 27.3%. Thats beyond high.
Dwight is at 27.2

To compare to Lopez, Hawks C Al Horford is considered a solid scoring center. While Horford averaged 15.3 PPG last year (Lopez had 20.4 PPG), Horford took 4 FGA less and 3.6 FTA less than Lopez. Shooting 57.7% for FGs and 78.9% from the FT line, Horford would add over 7 PPG to his total PPG, putting him at around 22.6 PPG, putting him 0.3 PPG behind Dwight Howard, and would be 12th in the league overall in PPG (He was 46th).

Lopez is pretty bad for someone who gets the ball so much.

Plus I forgot to mention Ryan Anderson and Redick both have good trade value right now from their good starts to the season; if the Magic were going to try to make a play to bring in a Robin, now is the time.

If Dwight is walking to Jersey how is Brook, Hump, and Marshon not a good enough start on a supporting cast? It would be super easy to add pieces around them with the cap space that they would have, then using the MLE and LLE after running out of the cap space and players would be flocking to the new arena in Brooklyn.

Lol at acting like Horford would still be that efficient if he was taking more shots.

1) What cap room would they have if Dwight signed there? I know they have some expirings (including Humphries who you mentioned in their core) but Brook is also an RFA after this season IIRC and he's going to get some money to go play elsewhere, and the Nets will have to decide whether they want to match or not.

2) I may have made an exaggeration, but if Dwight goes to NJ for Brook + picks + whatever, he's not in a better situation than he currently is, and I think he's starting to realize that..
