Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie laid down some harsh words about Andy Reid at his press conference on Tuesday, but he was less negative when it came to DeSean Jackson.

Jackson’s behavior for much of the season made it seem like he was laying the foundation for a trip out of town when the year came to an end, but Lurie said Tuesday that he would welcome Jackson back to the team next season. Whether or not Jackson comes back will come down to dollars and cents, according to the owner, and “if the right terms develop” Jackson will remain with the team.

“DeSean is a terrific player, and I think his attitude and his whole approach in the last month of the season was terrific,” Lurie said. “High energy. I think he started to realize and get it.”

Jackson’s comments after the final game of the season likely factored into what Lurie said on Tuesday. Jackson apologized for his behavior during the season and for letting his contract situation affect his game. He also said he’d have no problem playing under the franchise tag, something that should make it easier to find the right terms to keep him as a part of the offense going forward.

If he gets his shit together and just focuses on playing football, he's a guy everyone wants on their team.

Not impressed by how he handled himself through this season and it will be interesting to see what happens after he gets paid.

So they throw 100M at Vick and throw all that money at those other guys and money is a issue for Jackson?

Probably why they're hesitant to do it now.
