Earlier this week, Rodney Harrison questioned my sanity and/or sobriety when I suggested, both in our weekly One-on-One segment and on NBC SportsTalk, that the Broncos should get quarterback Brady Quinn ready to play, in the event that starter Tim Tebow continues to play like he has played in the last three games he has played.

Apparently, Rodney also needs to question the sanity and/or sobriety of Broncos coach John Fox and/or Broncos V.P. of football operations John Elway. Per a league source, Quinn has been getting roughly half the first-team reps in practice this week.

It’s unknown whether Quinn actually will play on Sunday against Pittsburgh, either as a replacement for Tebow (if he fails to “pull the trigger”) or an unexpected change-of-pace insertion. Either way, the use of Quinn could throw a wrench into the Steelers’ Tebow-specific game plan.

I've been saying for ages I want to see what Quinn has learned. I hope he gets a chance somewhere. Not saying I think he'll be great, but I'd like to see if sitting and learning has helped him at all.

Over the last few weeks Tebow has shown what kind of QB he's going to be imo and I think the Tebow experiment has failed

That being said, I'd rather Tebow play than Brady Quinn. If Quinn plays he's going to get booed out of the stadium

Quinn is a better QB than Tebow, I'd rather see him play.

Tebow has run out of tricks lol. He has more tools than Brady, but it might be time to go with something else cause it's obvious what kind of player Tim is.

Don't see why they would decide to start considering him now in the first round of the playoffs..

Neither can pass, but Tebow can at least run. I'd easily start Tebow.

I doubt they will have to worry about the QB thing soon enough anyway...

Tebow has played poorly the past couple weeks, but the Broncos did reach the playoffs with him at QB. Quinn hasn't played a game in two years.

This shouldn't even be considered.

Report: Broncos ready to bench Tebow Sunday
"Multiple sources" tell Profootballtalk.com the Broncos are prepared to bench Tim Tebow if he struggles against the Steelers in Sunday's Wild Card game.

The Broncos reportedly "have a package for (backup Brady) Quinn to be used in second-and-long or third-and-long situations." It would be incorrect to say coach John Fox has lost faith in Tebow since he hasn't had faith in him from the beginning, but it's clear Tebow's turnover-marred performances during Denver's recent three-game losing streak have Fox ready to turn to Quinn, who has not taken a regular-season snap since 2009. Tebow will be facing perhaps his most difficult test of the season in a Steelers defense ranked first against the pass and eighth against the run.

A QB combo/competition of Quinn and Tebow is worse then Beck and Grossman.

they're not benching him before the game. They're doing the right thing by being prepared if he comes out and throws 2/9 for 14 yards and 2 INTs in the first half and they're losing at halftime.

Brady Quinn has one career start vs Pittsburgh, and he went 6/19 for 90 yards in a win. All he does is win against Pittsburgh

Brady Quinn taught Tim Tebow everything he knows.
