Well actually I heard his stock is rising and the Jags like him at 7, but I heard the Redskins and Panthers also like him.

Exactly.

Gene Smith had nothing to do with Matt Jones.

Gene didn't take over till 2009. His first draft pick was Eugene Monroe.

Well, I read it lol. And I most definitely didn't read wrong. But this whole thing is because it's believed Blackmon will be gone by 5.

As of right now, will Blackmon be gone by 5? Probably.

But this is before The Senior Bowl, Combine, Pro Days, Etc.

Guys are going to creep up over Blackmon... and I bet you he will still probably be there at 7.

But man, I've been watching WR's for the last 2 days, and behind the top 4 guys (Blackmon, Wright, Floyd, Jeffery) it's an absolute crap shoot. I see guys ranked highly on some respected sites and I think WTF? I can't even make a top 10 list.

Blackmon won't shine in the Senior Bowl (Hes not a Senior). Won't run at the combine because he wants to somewhat "protect" his draft stock. Will have a disappointing 40 Yard Dash at his Pro Day. Will be at #7 when the Jaguars pick.

I know he's not in the SB. But he's not going to run bad, man. He'll run about a 4.55. Watch some of his games. He's not slow like you think he is. And also, I highly doubt a 40 time will sway a teams decision. Who cares if he runs the 40 slow (which he wont)? He plays fast and can beat DB's deep. It'll be big in the media if he runs slow, but it won't affect him.

I laugh that you think 40's don't matter to NFL teams and it won't effect his draft stock. He'll run slower than 4.55

No way he runs a 4.55. Blackmon isn't a speed guy at all. He's got good hands, reads on a ball, ups, and has an amazing ability to change position in air, but he's not fast and his route skills are average.

Since when is 4.55 fast? He doesn't look fast because he's a long strider. Maybe he won't run 4.55, but he sure as hell won't run a 4.7. And 40 is all the hype, but if an NFL GM making a draft choice lets that affect a decision, he shouldn't be a GM. Just watch the film. If he's fast enough there, you don't need a stupid number.

Saturday, January 28th is the Senior Bowl game. I'd assume the practises start January 23rd, until the 27th. I have no clue about the Shrine game.
