For teams considering claim on Chauncey Billups, he tells Y!: "A leader can be as disruptive as he can be productive..This is about me now."
WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski
Billups: "People take my kindness and professionalism for weakness. They think I’ll be OK with (getting claimed). I won’t be OK with this."

Billups wants freedom to choose team. Warns those who'd claim him: You'll regret it. "I'm tired of being the glue guy." Story soon on Y!

is he serious? o_O smfh. when he got traded last year his wife was talking about how they understand, and they've been traded before and they're not upset with melo and/or lala because it's their first trade. He gets waived and BAM he starts whining. c'mon chauncey... i thought you were better then this.

Can you really blame him though?
Dude has been great in every position thrown at him, thought he'd be able to settle down in NY, and they amnesty him which leaves him a possibility of playing for a terrible team after just being on a playoff team.

He is too classy of a player to be amnestied like that and left up to the league to bid on him. He should have been bought out like Rip, imo.

I mean, he has said a few times it is not about the money.
I'd rather him be complaining about this than money.

If he had been bought out, the Knicks wouldn't have been able to sign Chandler. They tried to trade him to a contender but no one was interested in taking him in on that salary.

That's true. IDK, I guess I just understand why he is frustrated with the situation.

They'll amnesty Mo, and then Kaman and Billups come off the books next year. Opening up cap space while having the same production at PG (Mo/ Billups).
