i hate how they try to kind of respect the player who demands a trade. if a team is willing to deal their best players knowing they may lose a dwight to free agency then id jump on it. but its just the fact you wont find a team willing to do that these days.

Yeah, I mean a 1 year rental is still pretty good. Plus there is always that chance that you can convince him to stay.

The Cavs had that with LeBron for how many years? And all it took was a day or two with Pat Riley to throw all of that away. Greed will always outweigh loyalty.

LOL no it won't. For some people, yes it will, but not everyone.

Also a lot of the times is not greed in terms of money, its greed in terms of starting a superstar filled team.

My point was that people are not loyal. Everyone has their own reasons for that, but in this NBA it's just a cold hard fact. If you trade for a rental and hope you can convince them to stay, you're an idiot.

And my reason is that some people are more loyal than others...

I'd call them optimistic....because you never know...what if they kept that player....everyone who said they couldn't would be idiots.
