I understand Tebow is now where near an elite QB in this league but you have to give credit to a guy who has thrown 2 INTs in 8 starts, won 7 of 8 (5 on road) after taking over 1-4 team, many 4th quarter comebacks, etc.

I think what Yanks is trying to say is that if a black QB was doing the exact same thing Tebow was, the black community would be all over him, hyping him up, etc. (see: Michael Vick)

Michael Vick was an elite prospect coming out of college, and he was worthy of the hype.. Hell, I was hyping him.. I still have 2 Mike Vick jerseys some where in my house.

Tim Tebow wasn't an elite prospect coming out of college? Obviously he wasn't a #1 pick like Michael Vick was, but I struggle to think of any college player of recent memory with more draft buzz than Tebow.

And Michael Vick worthy of the hype? Sure, he was an electrifying player, but let's be real, the dude is was/is very overrated.

It's not a dead-on example I was just trying to re-word what Yanks was saying.

Its not even Tebow that I don't like. Sure, I don't think hes a great NFL QB but what he does in the 4th QTR is great. Its his fans that is what push away people from liking Tebow. They try to shove his "great" 2 min warning ability down your throat to make you think hes a great QB. Or some shit that doesn't even matter like his leading ability or his beliefs in god, etc.

I know tons of Black people that line up in Jacksonville every sunday just to say "WELP, WE SHOULDA HAD TEBOW". You're just a fucking dumbass and don't know anybetter and think we only bash Tebow because hes white.

Tebow got draft buzz because no one had a grasp on where he would go and he was arguably the greatest college QB of all time. It was a shock to see him go to the Broncos in the first round, and then the guy who drafted him ended up getting canned..

Somewhat overrated. He was a good enough passer and the greatest running QB of all time. He obviously isn't the same guy anymore. Injuries and 2 years away from the game will do that though. Still amazed by last year though.
