Cavs expected to use new amnesty rule on PG Baron Davis once the new CBA is official, source tells @YahooSports. Until then, BD in Cavs camp
Pretty surprised they didn't wait until next off-season, but hey, more PT for Kyrie.. Hopefully they don't blow the cap space on something stupid.

But, essentially, we traded Mo Williams for Kyrie Irving and half a season of Baron Davis' cap hit. Chris Grant >>>

Apparently the Cavs may toss a lot of money at DeAndre Jordan. I'm gonna be sick.

Knicks might get outbid. Depends on who has interest in him.

However, they're trying to trade Turiaf. $4.4M contract. Get rid of that and they can get Davis. Solid option at PG at least for a year.

Or they hold out and hope he clears waivers -- apparently he likes the idea of being on the Knicks so we could possibly get him for cheap $$.

Either way, gonna be interesting.

if baron stays healthy he can be a good pickup for any team in need of a starting point guard. put him in an athletic team and hes going to be getting a lot of dimes.

By using amnesty on Baron Davis, Cavs are now about $8 million under salary cap and will be approx. $20 million under next summer.

Dwight Howard imo

Apparently Baron's back injury is pretty serious, will be out several weeks, so not much of an immediate impact here for whoever signs him.
