Was sooooooooo mad lol. DJ White then Walter Sharpe haahahh.
Should have kept DJ, he could of become a starter...or at least a backup PF. He's played well when he gets time, but he never gets time. Had some good games with Charlotte last year.

Christmas will have 5 games instead of 3!!!

early game on TNT (probably the Knicks/Celtics game)

then the regular double header. Mavs/Heat and Lakers/Bulls

then a double header on ESPN

OKC is a lock in one of the games

Clippers and grizzlies need to be shown

so 1 more, idk who. someone from the east
Preseason games were announced yesterday so the regular season shouldn't be far off.

One general manager of a small-market team does not believe that NBA executives achieved their goal of creating a more competitively balanced league.

“I think that set the league back,” the general manager said, referring to the league abandoning insistence on a hard cap during negotiations. “That was the only true way to get parity. And they let it go.”

“I think the players won this time," he said.
I'd have to agree. As I've said all along, the league needed a hard cap. But I do think they got the next best thing, though I'm not sure that is good enough.

I almost feel like having a game that late on Christmas is just like a "yeah we put you on tv but nobody cares" type of thing.

i like being on the west coast

when my team goes east games start at 4 otherwise 7

i've always wondered what it would be like to start a game at 10:30.

the lakers used to do tape delay east games, but that sucked because you cant listen to the radio, check scores online or watch espn. they changed that i think last year or the year before. i always hated it

Ten NBA general managers plus dozens of scouts are expected to be in attendance on Saturday when Kentucky hosts North Carolina.

Before the end of the lockout, all 30 NBA GMs were expected to attend.

One veteran scout says there are 10 potential first found picks in the game, plus several possible second rounders.

Anthony Davis and Harrison Barnes are the headliners for their respective teams. Tyler Zeller, John Henson, Kendall Marshall, Reggie Bullock, James McAdoo, Terrence Jones, Marquis Teague and Michael Kidd-Gilchrist are all likely first rounders either in 2012 or in the future.
I'm surprised all 30 still aren't attending.

ESPN sources: NBA team execs and coaches can start having contact w/players (and free agents) starting Monday at 10 AM ET. However Same restriction in place since WEDS, when teams and agents could start talking, STILL in place: No oral or written agreements on contracts
Coaches/players will be able to have contact at practice facilities come MON but coaches still can't oversee on-court workouts til camp FRI
Finally

As much as everyone outside of the state of Florida may have wanted to enjoy watching the Heat as the Mavericks get their championship rings, it's not to be. Those interested in schadenfreude will have to settle for the Miami 3 watching the Mavericks' first championship banner be raised.

WFAA in Dallas reports that Mark Cuban has informed them the Christmas Day season opener against the Heat will not be ring ceremony night for the Mavericks. It's customary for the first home game of the season to be ring ceremony night, but Cuban says that due to so many people likely having made other plans for Christmas in light of the ongoing lockout, he didn't want to leave them out.

However, the banner will be raised to the rafters so fans can celebrate their championship team on their home floor for the first time. The Heat of course lost to the Mavericks in six games in last season's Finals.

The story should be about the Mavericks, but it will, as always, be about the Heat. How will they react watching the banner they were two wins away from obtaining be raised in front of them? Does it spell an omen or serve as motivation? Will it affect how they approach their first game of the season? A loss would leave the Heat 0-2 in season openers under the new Triad after last year's loss to the Celtics in Boston.

Either way, it's going to be a fairly brutal process for the Heat to sit and watch the title they nearly won be celebrated on their opponents' home floor. Great drama, just the thing to kick off the season with to start moving past the lockout.
Sucks that they don't get their rings, but at least they will get to raise the banner in front of the Heat.

wow. Celtics @ Knicks christmas day Tix on sale at Stubhub. Starting at $215. I saw courtside section tickets in the $3900-$4055 range. Unbelievable. And the scary thing is somebody will buy them. Most likely from the 1% of the population :D
