Biggest Hogs game of my lifetime of 27 years. We have beat LSU 3 of the last 4 years under Petrino. He seems to have Miles' number.

LSU hasn't faced a high powered passing offense except for WVU who threw for 350+ yards and burned them. Arkansas is playing their best ball right now and on top of that we lost our freshman TE Sunday morning to unknown causes. A lot of emotion and a lot riding on Friday's game will have the Hogs ready to go hard.

If we win, it's the NC game. I am uber excited.

You really can't justify anybody being at #1 if Arkansas beats LSU.

That isn't how the polls work though. It's about when you lose. If Arkansas beats LSU and doesn't wind up in the national title game, there will be a ton of backlash. (same case could be made for LSU and Bammer) I've never wanted anything more in my life.

I'd rather not see Bama again, but I feel that's the only good NC game you would see.

You give LSU or Bama all that time to prepare for an opponent other than each other and it would be a massacre, you see it in Bowl games every year. Give a top tier SEC team time to prepare and it's going to get ugly quickly.

Almost any other year I would disagree with you, but this year the rest of college football other than Bama and LSU is just all fucked up.

Shit like Stanford beating USC, then Oregon beating Stanford, then USC beating Oregon just makes it so difficult to truly judge just how good these teams are.

Like I said, I think (for the last few years) you give a top tier SEC team a while to prepare then it will/could get ugly quickly.

But this year particularly, I think LSU/Bama are 1A and 1B then the rest of the country is in like the teens. LSU/Bama are the top 2 teams in the country and it isn't even close.

Which is scary, I don't know about Bama but LSU is VERY young. I mean we will actually have a passing attack with Mettenberger the next two years.

But the past few years it hasn't gotten ugly.

Auburn/Oregon was close.
Alabama/Texas can't really be judged because Colt McCoy went down, definitely would have been closer with him in there.
Florida/Oklahoma was fairly close.

I would love to see Arkansas win this game, just so the BCS becomes an even bigger mess this season.

Then you would have a Bama team that lost to LSU but beat Arkansas, an Arkansas team that beat LSU but lost Bama, and an LSU team that beat Bama but lost to Arkansas.
