Packers are 7th in NFC in Rushing D. Of the 6 above them, 3 might not make the playoffs (Seahawks, Vikings, Bears -- depending on Cutler).

Now you take some top NFC teams that may be playoff bound that are strong at running the ball -- 49ers, Falcons, Cowboys, Saints. If they matchup vs Green Bay, and Green Bay can limit them on the ground, it's exactly what Packers want -- Shootout through the air, and the Packers would probably have a lot of confidence in Woodson & Williams. You force a team to throw the ball more, apply pressure from guys like Clay Matthews, and there's a good chance they force turnovers against top teams.
7 out of 16 teams, and also give up 4.7 yards per rush. Only six teams give up more than that. Also only two teams average LESS rushes per game, defensive wise. Teams only rush the football 22 times a game against the Packers.

Maybe that's because they are 31st against the pass and teams don't have to run against them to have success, since aside from INT's they aren't very good at stopping the pass.

19 Picks and 24 Sacks. Still a solid defense. They can still cause turnovers, and in the playoffs sometimes 1 turnover is all you need to turn the tide.

And Rodgers has been near-perfect this year, so the odds of him throwin 1 pick in a crucial playoff game is unlikely.

At what point do we start looking at the Packers and saying "come playoff time they may be in trouble."

Lets be honest, that defense is not good.
They aren't good 1bit, but they're winning.

Or because they're always playing with a lead.

I could easily turn around and say the only reason they are so opportunistic on defense is because they are playing with leads forcing offenses to take more chances.

It doesn't change the fact that the Pack D isn't very good. If you think the Pack D will still be able to force the amount of turnovers against playoff caliber teams come January (especially when you run the ball more, when the Pack D can be run on) your kidding yourself.

The Packers aren't in trouble, because come playoff time, teams still won't know how to stop their offense.

The weather however could be a huge factor.

And this is coming from a Saints fan who knows if/when we have to go on the road in the playoffs we better be able to run the football or we are screwed.

IMO Lions either get blown out or win a close game Thursday.
More than likely get blown out lol. But the Packers secondary hasn't been great, so you never know.

The Packers defense is still a question mark. I really don't think it's as good as people think.

Agreed, but with the way their offense is rolling it doesn't really matter.

I didn't deny that their offense is playing lights out. That's not in question.

The defense played real well during the Super Bowl run, as they didn't allow over 25 points during the stretch. That's what kind of defensive football you need to win, and repeat.

I know. Didn't say you did.
I'm just saying, with the way their offense is playing, they can get by with their defense.
