NFL.com - Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan said in an interview with Al Michaels of NBC Sports that he doesn't expect to be an assistant much longer.

"My chance will come," Ryan said. "It only took my dad 25 years to get a (head coaching) chance and, hell, he's better than me and (Jets coach and twin brother) Rex put together."

He then took a shot at his brother Rex Ryan.

"I know (Rex is) one of the most recognizable head coaches in football this year, and things like that," Rob Ryan said.

"But, I mean, he's also gone to two AFC Championships games in a row. I mean, I don't think anybody else can say that. So, he's had an opportunity and he's done great with it. I'll be better than him, so I'll get my chance."

To be fair, when the media knows a guy is more prone to make bold statements or just say crazy shit, they're gonna constantly surround them and ask more questions, looking for a reaction and it will be reported more often then not. He obviously isn't afraid to give a strong reaction lol.

Fuck it doe, Rex and Rob should just coach together. Rex should hire him to be our D-Coordinator and Assistant Head Coach.

Would be nothing more entertaining than these two guys working together.

That would never happen though. Hopefully Rob takes Sparano's job and they get to face each other twice a year.

It's amazing to me that he worked under Belichick for 3 years. Talk about polar opposites.
