NFL.com - The Dolphins are winless this season, but that hasn't stopped wide receiver Brandon Marshall from opening his mouth.

"To: Media," Marshall tweeted. "When we win Sunday please don't say the Giants didn't take us serious."

For the record, Giants players aren't biting.

"We don't pay any attention to that," defensive end Osi Umenyiora said. "We've got bigger fish to fry, man."

I find it hard to believe that any NFL player would want to just give up on the season.

I remember ESPN radio interviewed three different NFL coaches (former) and asked that question about giving up on the season and they all seemed pissed that the question would even be asked.

Obviously the coaches would be upset, and players don't want to lose but you have to look towards the future. Do you think the Dolphins owner/GM wants to see the team get some garbage win late and take them out of the Luck running? If he becomes as good as advertised, he can have a Peyton Manning type effect on your franchise..

I wouldn't be surprised if it happened. Never know what you'll get with the Giants. Although, the Dolphins have been good at blowing leads and losing.

Believe me, the players don't want that. If you've ever actually played football, no matter what level, the amount of work you put in during the year, you never, ever, are going to throw games. It's easy if you're just a fan to say that, because you aren't sweating and bleeding week in and week out. I would have no respect at all for a player if he would want that. I can't stand quitters.
