I think we can all agree that Gabbert > Newton. I mean he only has 1 less 200 yard game than Cam has 400 yard games.
Wonder where the hell Newton would be without Steve Smith.

Also, Newton has turned the ball over way more than Gabbert.

But Mike Thomas is a top 10 WR.

But take away Smith's yards, and Cam still has more yards/game than Blaine GOATbert.

But Gabbert >, right?

And it's not like Cam's 7 rushing TDs are of any value, either.

Totally different QB's. Gabbert is a pocket QB.

Newton hasn't played top 3 defenses in his first 5 starts.. and lets not forget that huge ass rainstorm him and Gabby both played in.. & Gabbert looked better that game than Newton.

I never said Mike Thomas was a top 10 WR, I said he could be a #1. Mike Thomas has had a case of the dropsies this year however and will be reverted back to the slot.

Where would Steve Smith be without Cam Newton is the question? Where the hell was Steve Smith last season? He wasn't helping Clausen or Moore out at all, that's for sure.

Of course Newton has turned it over more. He's thrown the ball 100 times more than Gabbert has and has just generally taken more shots down field. The two times I've seen Gabbert play in the NFL all his throws were little dink-and-dunk, high percentage pass attempts.

54% of Gabgod's throws have been under 10 yards... I'd hope he doesn't turn it over too much.

When Mike Thomas and Jason Hill are dropping near everything thrown to them.. Your bound to look bad.

Once the Jags get a real #1 WR.. Gabbert will shine.

Steve just had a down year last year.. Period.

You cant say the reason why hes blowing up this year is because of Cam because Steve made great plays on all them big ass catches and shit.

1 of the times you seen Gabbert play, he came in at the start of the 4th QTR of the Jets game.. He did what he was told to do, and that was get the ball out quickly and get the game over with.

Cam is almost a lock for OROY
That means anything? Vince Young chuckles in your face and then dances away shirtless with a bottle of ciroc and his 35 other shirtless gay looking friends.

Nope, doesn't mean a ton. I'd rather have a guy like Dalton who wins games and limits his mistakes and has been pretty good with the game on the line. While he doesn't put up the numbers that Newton does, I've been fairly happy with what he's done. Granted, it takes a team to win games, Dalton surely hasn't done it all.

The reason the Panthers are losing is defense, not offense. They're missing Beason and Davis and have been since the first game. Doesn't bode well for a defense to miss their two best linebackers.

I understand that, was the reason why I included it takes a team to win games in my post... I'm not taking anything away from Newton.

Yeah, Cam is lighting up the scoreboard most of the time

If they can improve their D, they'll be good
