I was actually being serious. With the impending loss of the season Kyrie could have benefitted greatly from playing a full year in college.

He could have but why wait when you're pretty much a lock to be #1? Obviously he could have improved from another year, but he was already good enough to justify a top pick.

Yeah he was good enough to justify being a #1 pick, but there's no doubt that playing a full college season could have benefitted him TREMENDOUSLY. Whether or not he would have been the #1 pick in 2012 doesn't matter, what's more important is that it would have helped him to become a better basketball player and have a better career.

Irving is a interesting case. The PNR has taken over basketball. We see it used in every age group, I even implemented with my biddy ball team. What makes Irving interesting though is that the PNR is both a strength of his and a weakness.

Irving is a very good ball handler, good shooter, and he's good around the rim. This creates mismatches for the defense because if you go under the screen Irving will just pull up, if you try to go through the screen he can beat you to the rim. Think of Chris Paul.

The success Irving has scoring from the PNR also hurts him too though. Obviously if you keep burning teams they will adjust. Teams start sending help toward Irving forcing him to find his teammates. Irving can find his teammates, but the accuracy on his passes just isn't there. He just can't put it where it needs to be.

Kevin Durant recorded a triple-double in Sunday's exhibition game played in Oklahoma City. Durant had 42 points, 26 rebounds and 11 assists in a 176-171 victory in overtime.

Chris Paul, LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony and James Harden were amongst the other NBA players to participate.

According to the recap of it on ESPN, the majority of the game there was absolutely no defense played. Like, less than usual for one of these exhibition games.

CP3 had like 13 assists in the first quarter and Beasley led everyone in scoring with like 55 points.

The players need to concede already. They're wrong and the entire world knows it. Not taking 50-50 is bullshit. There's no job out there for the working class where the employees get that kind of cut from the profit. Nobody (with a damn mind that's functional) is on the side of the players anymore. The owners have offered to concede to an extremely poor deal, in their regard, and the players still aren't happy. This season will go down, in fans' minds, as the year that selfishness and miscalculation of self-worth among the NBA players sabotaged an NBA season and took away one extra year from veteran greats like Kobe, Garnett, Ray Allen, Pierce, etc.
