He does get on base, he gets a hit 3 out of the 10 times he's at bat.
What would you classify as a not good OBP then, curious. For a guy who hits for no power, average is not the stat you look at, at all. The objective is to get on base, and .323 simply doesn't cut it. There's a reason he got pinch hit for in the 3rd inning or whatever it was.

This is a pointless argument.

He is hardly the reason we are going to lose this series.
He is playing a huge part in it. His fielding is sub par and his performance at bat has been abysmal. A solid lead off man would help us out huge amounts. There is no point in having that fast lead off hitter if he never hits the ball. I put the biggest amount of blame that can go on one person goes on him. He's done jack shit.

Jackson's fielding is among the best in CF, but he strikes out more then anyone except Mark Reynolds, which is a huge problem, because he hits for absolutely no power.

If he is doing jack shit, I'd like to know what you'd call Avila's performance this series lol.

you're right
i think you blame him more than you should, maybe?
but he does suck

i said the other day the tigers should go get a leadoff hitter. i mentioned coco and furcal

then i read this blog talking about jose reyes
i didnt even think of him.
he'd be perfect for the tigers. perfect

And then they have no position for Peralta. (I ripped him earlier this year, but he's having a great year, and he is capable of doing it again)

Didn't he get some time at 3rd in Cleveland?

He hated playing 3rd base, complained about it. His production went down the tank when we moved him as well. I don't know if that's a direct impact, cause it probably isn't, but he did complain about being moved.

Hmm, I wouldn't worry about it. Dumbrowski probably won't do much to improve this team in the off-season.

I just don't see the point to sign a Reyes when you already have a good thing going at shortstop. Don't mess with Peralta, cause when his head is on straight, hes among the best at shortstop offensively. Going after a true 3rd baseman would be better.

lol cmon rip

he's done a lot lately
I'd be shocked if we came in next year with a legit starter at 3b and 2b. And a better leadoff hitter.

This whole "play a utility player" at 3rd and 2nd is getting annoying as fuck.
