After the Bulls, who is the second best team?

Obviously the Bulls are the class of this division, finishing with 62 wins last season.

The next three teams, the Pacers, Bucks, and Pistons all finished within 7 games of each other. And things are even looking up for the Cavs.

So following the Bulls, who is the second best team in the Central Division?

My vote goes to the Pacers. Got nice young talent at every position and still made the playoffs last season.

I stumbled upon this article about the Pacers. They've been working out together during the lockout. Does anyone else know if there teams have been doing this? I know the Hornets haven't.

George Hill has worked out with a few of his Indiana Pacers teammates this summer, but yesterday he had a chance to put in work with the full core group the Pacers are relying on to build for the future and the newest Pacer came away impressed. Shortly after the team's workout at Hinkle FIeldhouse, G3 tweeted his assessment.

It was 10 players that all got together and apparently did this more than once.

Oh, and lets not sleep on the Bucks. Don't forget the moves they made during the draft. Their starting lineup could be like this:

Brandon Jennings
Michael Redd
Stephen Jackson
Luc Mbah a Moute
Andrew Bogut

Obviously that's not a given and with injuries and such you can change that around a bit, but I like that starting five.

Will ultimately depend on the injuries for the Bucks, and Michael Redd isn't really effective anymore.
But they can be a good team too. I think they go as far as Jennings will take them.

I guess that makes a little sense with the drafting of Irving and Thompson.

I think Irving will be on the bench for a part of the season.

If anything, you can expect the Cavs to be really solid bench wise this year.

I'd agree with that if the Cavs had any SGs at the moment, but they don't, so I expect him and Baron in the back court together in an uptempo offense, something that Byron wants to run here.

He wants to run that everywhere, whether it is effective or not.

I think you could very well see someone be shipped out.

The NBA has a weird way of determining what players have what value.

You look at Detroit's roster and it is really kind of funny.

You have an aggressive PG like Knight, a conservative big like Monroe.

Then what is Stuckey? PG or SG?

Then you still have guys like Rip, Prince, and McGrady.

The big contracts of Gordon and Charlie V.

That roster is just put together in a weird way.
