it was still stupid
jackson has speed to beat the DP and with CC being flat, he could have gone gapper as well
could have been maybe 2 man on

that ball Santiago hit would have scored Inge from first anyways

You are underestimating Santiago, he is a good contact hitter.
It wasn't a dumb play.

Had Jackson hit into a DP, we don't even get a run.

Well i've seen Verlander locked in before, and I had a feeling he'd get his mojo against the Yankees but he's outperforming my expectations.

And if theres a verlander sig someone made on SI i'm so wearing it.

Career .250 batting average doesn't make you a good contact hitter.

Rip, there is a higher chance of scoring a runner from 1st with 0 outs than with a runner on 2nd with 1 out

double plays arent a given
tigers gave the yankees an out. tigers could still be hitting

found it. I think Pugzy made it like 3 years ago. Verlander rules.

CC is a big double play guy though. Had twice as many DPs as Verlander this year.

That means you weakly put the ball in play a lot, which is useless.

Dude, it wasn't a dumb play if we got a run out of it. Just shut up.
