I disagree. He just doesn't pitch well in non save situations.
Plus, that HR he gave up isn't even a HR in Comerica Park.
The first 3 batters he faced all ripped him. He labored the whole inning. And he's lucky he escaped with a victory. He threw about 2 or 3 pitches right down the middle to Cano, luckily for him he didn't hit it into the seats.

Valverde does his job, but he's hyped up by all of these Detroit posters as if he's on Rivera's level.

I thought we would split at home, so I'm not too upset even though it's a bit disappointing to be shut down by Scherzer like that. We should still pull it out, though.

And metfan - why hate the Yankees? You're seriously one of THOSE Mets fans? Root for your fucking city, don't hate big brother.

Doesn't really matter what happened. He didn't blow the game and pitched badly.
We got out of there with a win, moving on!

I don't hype him up, I've never said he's anywhere close to the best closer in the MLB, he just gets the job done but never makes it easy on himself, he always makes it a bit nerve racking. He generally gets the job done though so I can't complain, but I surely don't hype him up, I'm glad he plays for the Tigers though.

0 because he's from my hometown, MVP votes are already in, and i hate the dbacks

lol i've already began to accept Kemp not winning by thinking of all the greats without an MVP
Hanley, Berkman, Holiday, Utley, Tex, Cano, Adrian Gonzalez, Tulo, Longo, Helton, Konerko, Jeter, Wright, etc

it just sucks because Kemp was clearly better and the ONLY reason he wont win is because he had Tony Gwynn, Aaron Miles and James Loney instead of Prince, Weeks and Hart

im over kemp though

but he's only 27 and clearly figured something out
from day 1 it was a new kemp. his first AB of the season he was taking pitches i've never seen him take. special player. i hope he re-signs because i really dont want to see him hitting 50 bombs in New York

at least Kershaw will win CY

Go look at his numbers from the 1998 season.

Could you believe he finished 8th in MVP voting that year?

when i was 13, Adrian Beltre had his beast season
i remember saying he should win MVP because Dodgers made the playoffs and the GIants didnt lmao

recently i looked at Bonds that season, holy shit
362/.609/.812/1.422 232 walks, 41 K's, 45 HR

that was the last time the dodgers had a true MVP candidate. Manny didnt play enough games

lol off topic

I remember I was calling the Mariners one of the best teams in the league that next season after they signed Beltre and Richie Sexson lmfao.
