CBA Meeting Likely For Wednesday

NBA players and owners are hoping to meet in a small group on Wednesday and/or Thursday of this week in New York City, according to sources.

Sources say neither side wants to postpone the start of the regular season.

The sides last met last Tuesday with both groups bringing their executive committees. Each side exited the meeting voicing pessimism.

Good to hear that they don't want to miss any games, both sides don't. We need to just get over this petty we want X amount of money and both sides need to compromise a bit in order to get a full season. Let's go!

Its not that easy, these owners have created this problem and they dont want to deal with it. Most NBA franchises are losing money and the great players in the league only want to play specifically for big cities. That doesnt happen in baseball and football as much.

I agree for the most part but isn't it the players who don't want to deal with the problem? The owners seem pretty resolute on a hard cap to fix the problem and the players won't even negotiate until they give it up.
