Associated Press - The Jaguars only waited two weeks to turn to rookie quarterback Blaine Gabbert.

Luke McCown threw four interceptions against the Jets on Sunday.

Jacksonville coach Jack Del Rio met with Gabbert and McCown on Wednesday morning, then told other players at a team meeting.

Newton vs. Gabbert. Good to see the Jaguars make the move. McCown has done absolutely nothing, and when Gabbert went in this past Sunday he showed good poise, and he showed great fundamentals. He may not lead this team to victories, but he'll play better, and will get good experience.

Thoughts?

i have to put Newton in the lineup for my fantasy league
You know the Jags have a good defense, right?

Newton isn't going to have 400+ Yards with 3 TDs and 0 Ints.

This is gonna be a good game

Hopefully Cam will throw another 400 yard game. The Packers have a good defense too ;)

Different defense.

Packers use a 3-4.

Jaguars use a 4-3 with alot of bracket coverage..

Check Mark Sanchez.. Cam will make throws he think will be open, then out comes a CB from nowhere to INT it..

"Gabbert got in huddle, looked everyone in eyes, paused and then yelled, "Let's f---ing go, guys." Teammates love his confidence. #Jaguars" LOL.. Goldilocks can't say the F bomb..

Good for Gabbert, this shouldve been since Week 1, but better now than later. I think Gabbert is going to play pretty well, if Marcedes Lewis plays then that would be great for him.

Cam > Sanchez, first off. Horrible comparison

And the Packers dont force INTs? Tramon and Woodson was the #1 tandem for INTs last year. If Cam can throw for 400+ versus GB, he can do it versus the Jags.

Packers D>>>> Jags D

You hear one thing, and it goes right in one ear, and out the other.

Hes not going to throw for 400 yards.

I never compared Sanchez to Cam, I was explaining how it was happening to Sanchez with the type of defense the Jaguars have.

Also, it's not like the Packers defense has been all that sharp this season anyways.

Lets not get too carried away, the Jaguars defense isn't a top defense, they have been solid this year and Cam won't throw for 400 yards, but I think he will have a pretty decent day. I could see him throwing a couple interceptions though, that seems to be the trend lately. He's putting up big numbers but also making too many mistakes. As far as the Packers, I agree, the defense has looked very suspect thus far.

They played the Saints in their other game...
Yeah, hard to stop that offense, I understand that. But then they let a Rookie QB tear them up the following week and nearly pull out the win, I guess they just underestimated the Panthers.
