Probably cause Verlander is having a better season than all 3 of them?

CC, kershaw and halladay are having better years overall

but CK and Doc is another story since they're in another league.

Oh they are?
I forgot they are having better years because Verlander is better in every statistical category. My bad.

He's having the best season for a pitcher since Pedro in 1999 and 2000, that deserves some MVP talk

well, lets be fair when it comes to kershaw

he trails ERA by .01 and K's by 8 and has started a few less games

I'm curious to hear how you think CC is having a better overall year then Verlander

If anything that should attest to JV's greatness even more.
He has pitched 11 innings more than the next guy.
Absolute workhorse.

to me, CC has been better
tougher park, tougher competition, probably just as valuable as verlander in terms of being the only sure thing in the rotation

but CC has better stats
higher WAR
K/9 is slightly lower
but his FIP, and xFIP are better
has a way way higher BABIP
gives up HR at a lower rate, despite his home park

i guess im just more astounded about how under the radar CC is

I can't help but laugh, Verlander easily deserves all of the "praise" he has been getting lately. Are those pitchers mentioned good? Most definitely but Verlander has been the best pitcher in baseball this year. There's just no denying, if anyone says differently, they are probably jealous their opposing pitcher isn't getting as much credit for the year that they are having, I haven't heard a ton of Verlander talk and I don't read many articles.

You're clearly jealous because Kershaw is having an equally as good a year.

Kershaw isn't getting any recognition cause no one gives a fuck about the shitty Dodgers.
The Tigers are actually relevant.

And because Verlander is a better pitcher.

All I'm saying is, Verlander deserves the praise he's getting, I don't care what anyone else thinks. Now, hopefully he'll continue to be great come playoff time when we will need him most.
