I'd love to see the Jaguars beat the Jets, I'd love it, but just can't see it happening.
TBH.. You don't see the Jaguars winning any game this season.

You didn't see us winning the Titans game, you don't see us even in contention for the Division.

You don't even watch the team.

So how you feel about the Jaguars really doesn't register in my mind at all.

So you are telling me the Texans don't have more weapons than the Jaguars? If so, that's completely foolish, I don't care if they've been predicted to win the division the last 50 years and choked every year, I just think they are more ready right now. I follow every team, I don't just watch the Bengals, I try to keep up on everything. I know just because they have more doesn't necessarily mean anything, but I can't really see why you'd fault people for favoring the Texans, even with their past history. As far as missing the game against the Titans, that was week 1, Titans played a lot worse than I thought they would. We'll see later 'today' -- I like the match up for the Jets defense against the Jaguars offense.

It doesn't matter who has more weapons.

You've already fucked up, you're judging teams on what they look like on paper. Paper doesn't win games. Texans defense is still a questionmark. All because they played one of the worst teams last sunday doesn't mean they're a top team.

Never said they were a top team, said they are the team to beat in the AFC South until proven otherwise. I'm not judging it off of paper, they are just the better team, that's all there is to it. I'd rather have an offense than can put up 20-30 pts a game and be OK on defense than being not very good on offense and decent on defense. The Texans could give up 30 points and still win the game, the Jaguars wouldn't be able to do that. Points will be hard to come by for them. They might have a better defense this year, but still not enough to make up for a mediocre offense at best.

It's just my opinion, you can sit here and say otherwise, we'll just wait & see what happens, I'm pretty confident with my prediction, however.

Red: You pretty much just described the 2010 Texans, Yep. 6-10..

Blue: Jaguars aren't very good on offense? Is that why teams like the Titans came out this week and said they wished they could do what the Jaguars did to them on offense? Also, Jaguars will have a better defense than "decent". Top 10 Defense and we wouldn't allow the Texans to get 30 points.

It's one week against a team that isn't very good under a new coaching staff. If they can maintain that against better teams then I'll say otherwise, but I think you are looking wayyyyy too much into one game, just because they look good Week 1 doesn't mean they'll maintain it all year, especially against better teams. I'm not saying the Titans are complete trash, but they aren't very good. I don't see the Jaguars having a top 10 defense, maybe top 15.

Jaguars will have a top 10 defense, quote me on it. Jack Del Rio has even took bets with people around Jacksonville on it..

To one person saying "I will kiss your ass if the Jaguars defense isn't top 10"

Jaguars were a play or 2 away from shutting the Titans completely out.

& Titans are better than what most people think.

Alright, will do. Since when have you or any other Jaguar fan bought into anything Jack Del Rio has said or done? lol

Im not the biggest Jack Del Rio fan, but he does know shit about defense.

This is the first year we've let Mel Tucker have completely control of the defense.

& We have very few holes on the defense overall. Don't see this defense being anything other than top 10 TBH.

Great against the run, good against the pass. Once we get Kampman back, we'll be good at rushing the passer.

BOTH the starting DE's were out of that game, and it was our new D-Coordinators first game with this team. It wasn't the Jags offense at all. It was how poorly the D played.

The Titans do get Derrick Morgan back, so I'll finally get to see him play. It's been almost a year now. I'm excited.
And I really hope Hasselbeck sucks it up. I want Locker to just develop, especially if last week Hasselbeck is the best Hasselbeck. He was brutal.

They will give Hasselbeck a bit more time to try and prove himself I believe. It's just the investment they made in the guy, and you can't write him off yet in the Titans situation. I agree though. You of course want to see the young guy in Jake Locker get some snaps, and start making something happen, but I don't know if chucking him in against the Ravens defense is the best idea this week.

The Browns put McCoy in against the Steelers and he sucked it up, but in the long run I think it helped. And believe me, I know Hasselbeck has a long leash, but if that's the best we're going to get out of him, why not get a little worse now, but really help the team for the future? Plus, maybe Locker could bring a spark to the team with his athletic ability, because the team just did not look like that had a spark last week with Hasselbeck under center. And sometimes that spark overshadows the mistakes the QB would make. Hell, look at Vince Young in his rookie year. Locker is a totally different player, but he can bring the same kind of excitement to the offense IMO.

The Titans went out and dished the money for Hasselbeck, and that's why he has a long leash. It's a different circumstance from when the Browns went out and drafted McCoy, just based on the fact that this whole "mentor" thing was supposed to happen with Matt and Locker. It hasn't looked good yet, but I just don't see the Titans sitting down Hasselbeck after the 2nd week when they went out and dished him some decent cash.

I'm picking the Colts to win today..
I honestly left them out of our betting pool that I do with some friends weekly. Guys wanted to take the game, but I just said let's just leave it. It all depends on the Colts offense and what they can do with sustaining drives. If they go 3 and out constantly like last week in Houston, then the defense is going to break down and Peyton Hillis is going to have a monster day.
