Off topic but I find it really weird and funny that a hitter went to San Diego and actually found his game and isn't looking like a total bum anymore (Cameron Maybin). You'd expect that to happen at a hitters park or something..

UZR is the defensive rating in baseball, if you think UZR is meaningless when categorizing defenders, you need to leave now.

According to Jon Heyman, professional GMs don't use UZR, at all.

We are 4.5 games back from NY.

Only 2 back from Boston. And realistically, with the schedule we have remaining this season, I see no reason we can't pass up Boston and MAYBE New York. Both teams have been playing awful lately.

That's what happens when you don't have an off-day in like three weeks and you've played multiple double-headers during that span. We're tired. Our bullpen is shot.

BTW, IDGAF about any stats. Jackson deserves the gold glove.

Lester hasn't won his past 3 decisions. Wakefield has been going for win 200 since july. Lackey is bound to give up 4 runs per game. Beckett is injured. Miller is inexperienced and i dont trust him to win us games. and bedard has 1 win in his 6 starts as a Red Sox, and he got 12 runs of support in his only win

btw Ubaldo hit 98 on the gun today baby steps lol But he's been pitching pretty good lately. We have him for the next 2 years so we gotta do something in the off-season to improve this team and try to make a run while we still have our core in tact before we trade everyone.
