All depends on if the Yankees think he's ready to catch at the big-league level. If they don't think he can I think they definitely try and sign re-sign Russell. Maybe a 2 year/$14M contract?

If they think he can catch Russell will be let go and we'll probably have Cervi back as the back-up catcher.

It's pretty safe to say that we're not going to re-sign Posada this off-season and I'm going to be really disappointed if he decides to go elsewhere instead of retiring because he's supposed to be a Yankee lifer.

Don't really know how to explain it, but the Yankee uniform is just the only one that Jorge should ever wear.

I view it similar to the Jeter and Mariano situations. Neither of those two should ever wear another uniform. Obviously Posada was a lesser player than those two but I view them the same way.
