Patriots third-round pick Ryan Mallett was reportedly up "all-night partying" during the NFLPA's Rookie Symposium in July.
In a vacuum, this would hardly be a notable story, but it certainly is after character concerns sank Mallett's draft stock like a stone this spring. The fact Mallett was not able to recognize that it wasn't a good idea for someone with his reputation to stay up partying during what is supposed to be a serious event speaks to just how much progress he still has to make off the field.
