In all honesty, I have to say yes. Ellis is a great player, don't get me wrong, but he dominates the ball so much. When you have a point guard like Stephen Curry, I think you have to let him run the offense. The team has enough scoring, they just need more teamwork, and once again that's not what Ellis does. Mark Jackson as the head coach is not going to want one player trying to take over games single-handedly, and I think it's just best to get the HUGE return for him now, and move on and build with the rest of the young team.

Do you guys think that Golden State should move Monta Ellis?

Thoughts?

I think they should for the right price and only if it helps them defensively. If it doesnt help them defensively dont do it.

I'd try and move him for a good big man.

Yeah if they can find the right deal they should do it. Maybe a sign and trade for Nene or something. But also if they can get a player that is good defensively I think that should be something to consider...like Iggy maybe.

This.

It's no secret they have the offense, and score points like madmen at times, but the name of the game is to stop the other team from scoring those points with you. That's where they struggle.

If I remember correctly they were asking for way too much for him.

I agree with Golden State going with someone more defensive minded, Monta is great but if they can get Iggy, I'd go for it

the monta/iggy trade wont happen. the asking price for monta is way to high. i do think they should look to trade him for a player who can score and play defense. i dont see them getting a deal unless they come down.

I don't think it's a question of should, but more a question of when.

I just can't see Ellis and Jackson working good together.

That'd be like Ben Wallace playing for Don Nelson.
