great read and it will be the the next big rivalry. Both teams are gonna be powerhouses in the league for years to come if things go to plan. Cant wait to see it. Lions are looking better this season aint no denying that.

The NFL will be screwed if this is the "rivalry of the next decade."

I thought the Lions were already getting overrated, and now you're booking them to be in a 'next decade rivalry'? The Lions have a great WR, a pretty good defensive line and maybe a RB duo of the future, but for now that's about it..

Did I say next decade rivalry, Did I write this article? Nah I didn't. I just posted cause it has my team involved and I'm excited about. ALso you forgot about our Tight End Brandon Pettigrew and our Franchise QB Matt Stafford.

Excuse me for missing the TE.. And Matt Stafford has the bone structure of a 60 year old man. In the games he's actually played in his career, he hasn't actually been a saint out there.. I never thought he would be anything special coming out of college anyway so I guess that's just my opinion

I know i'm excited to play the Bucs Week 1. Was a tough one last year. In a way, I like the hype Lions are getting, but at the same time it worries me. It's like they are just piling things on one after another. It'd be crazy if that actually happened, and i'd welcome it gladly.

If things progress how they should, I do agree with the article.

this cannot be a serious article.

First off, Green Bay with young Aaron Rodgers will dominate the NFC for at about 10 more years. I could see Green Bay and Tampa, if the Bucs make HUGE strides, but not the Lions. They need a QB much better than Stafford to have a rivalry like the Patriots and Colts.

Is Stafford trash or something? We need another QB? He was drafted #1 overall, he's been hurt. But there is no question the talent is there.. If he stays healthy is another story. But we don't need a "better" QB.

While he hasn't shown he can stay healthy for a season, I also don't think it's fair to call him a scrub, he hasn't really gotten the chance to prove himself yet. If he manages to stay healthy this year (Which I think he will), I think a lot of people will be eating some crow. [I think] he could be a top 10 QB in the NFL (if he stays healthy).

I have no doubt he can be a top 10. Obviously that can be debated, and I'm sure someone will try. But I believe he can be.

the reason the Colts/Pats rivialry is so good is that its the best two quarterbacks in the NFL, both who will probably end up being Top 10 QBs of all time, facing eachother.

Rodgers has the ability and time to get to that status. But nobody else really sticks out thats young to be on the same uprise as Aaron.

And yeah, Detroit had the #1 overall pick, and they needed a QB. And yes, they took one of the best QBs available. But just because they were drafted #1 doesnt mean they will be as effective as every 1st round QB.

Before the Draft, everyone thought that Bradford was the clear top pick, and nobody was really close to him, which was probably true. Detroit was ready for Bradford. Then, Sam decided to return to Oklahoma to blow his shoulder in the first game. But Detroit took the next best QB in Stafford with the pick, even though Stafford's value was a little lower. Stafford didnt even dominate the QB position in college. He benefited a lot from Knowshon Moreno in his backfield.

Im not saying Stafford is trash, but i dont think he'll ever come close to being in the same conversation as Aaron Rodgers

Let me ask you this question..... Who EVER thought Rodgers would turn into the QB he is today? Did we honestly see this coming from the very beginning?

Who ever thought Tom Brady would become an all time great QB? Does that mean every 6th round pick can be compared to that?

And by the way, everyone knew Aaron Rodgers had talent. He fell in the draft for unknown reasons.

Is all I'm saying is I don't think anyone ever thought Rodgers would be the QB that he is today, or right now. If someone actually said that they seen this coming with Rodgers, they are completely lying. That's the thing, you never know. It's hard to say one way or the other, especially with a guy like Stafford who hasn't gotten the chance to prove himself yet. Who cares about the hype out of college, Carson Palmer had a lot of hype coming out and never lived up to it. I've seen QB's that didn't have much hype coming out of college and surprised everyone, you just never know. One thing I will say, from watching limited playing time of Stafford -- I think he'll turn into a really good NFL QB when healthy. All it takes is a good year to change that, people can say whatever they want, he still has something to prove.

Rodgers entered that Draft as the #1 prospect

Alex Smith rose towards Draft Day, and the Niners picked Smith. Rodgers fell for some reason, and it definitely helped sitting behind Favre for 3 years. But Rodgers always had talent

Rodgers at Cal was far better than Stafford at Georgia

So you are telling me that you seen this coming with Rodgers? I don't believe it. If you read my last post, I think that would clear up what the first part of your post just said. I'm NOT saying just because he went first overall in the draft, he's going to be a great NFL QB. I just think he has the talent and just has to go out and prove it now. You just never know what is going to happen. I'm NOT saying Staffword should be mentioned with Rodgers just because he was first overall and Rodgers was like 24th in the first round, that is NOT what I am saying.

So you're telling me you seen this coming with Rodgers, already? I don't believe it.
