Dwight Howard was asked whether he’d consider joining the Heat when he becomes an unrestricted free agent next summer.

“Never,” Howard said.

Howard stopped short of committing to any specific action with the Magic.

"At this point, I don't know what I'm going to do,” Howard said. “I'm just enjoying life and taking advantage of being young and being able to travel and do the things that I've always wanted to do."

LOL, this is funny to me

I heard he'd consider playing for the Hawks at some point in his career =]

There's a 100% chance Miami wouldn't have the cap room to sign him

What will we see?

Do the Hawks plan on playing two-on-five every game?
It' kills me how you guys know SOOOOO much about the Hawks CAP situation.

Things happen in the league, players get traded, players don't get resigned, heck we don't even have a CBA right now. I don't think any of our players contracts say "Signed til the end of Dwight Howard's career" so I believe we still have a chance at him at some point. Which is what I said to begin with..

dwight will never play for the hawks unless its at the end of his career. or they pull off a major trade that no one can see happening, and then dwight in atlanta wouldnt even matter.

Sure but then again, the Hawks could trade Al Horford, Kirk Hinrich, and Damien Wilkins to the Magic in return for Dwight. Not only would it work salary wise, it would also help the Magic to get talent in return for Dwight instead of nothing..

And I think Dwight in Atlanta would matter if our lineup was Teague, JJ, Marv, Smoove, Dwight

If you know a deal out there that gets them a all-star center in return better then this one, let me know.

But as of now, which makes them better, Getting Horford or getting to watch Dwight leave for nothing?

for now that does give them a good player in return but overall talent wise the team isnt any better.

Theres no realistic deal out there that will make them better. Point blank.

Losing Dwight for anyone wouldn't make their team better. No matter who it is, they still wouldn't get any better then they were last year. I'm saying this would probably be the best deal available if it were on the table.

Yeah but Horford + wouldn't be the best offer Orlando could get.

Anyways, why would Dwight want to play for Miami?
