He's not willing to waive his no trade clause for any East Coast team apparently.

Damn, didn't even see that.
I guess Guthrie and Jimenez are also high on our list.
Highly doubt we go after Jimenez though, Guthrie is meh.

Not sure why so many teams give these players no trade clauses.

Haha Perez was talking trash against him roommate Danny Valencia about how Danny can't hit sliders and can't hit off of him or something... Danny Valencia was the one that killed Perez for the win tonight. ahahaha.

It was a soft blooper on a fastball.. Not like he hit a line drive or hit the ball hard. It fell in front of a 2nd baseman playing left field. Not trying to make excuses but it's not like the guy hammered him.

I would think a walk-off single would count for something, no matter how it happened. He got the best of him this time around, which I found funny, especially after Perez was running his mouth. I love it when things like that backfire.

The Indians who are in first place, will not have their afternoon game televised tomorrow because the owners will lose a little money off of low TV ratings.. I can't stand the Indians owners, just can't.

They were college roommates.. It's called joking around.

According to Perez' actions after it happened, I don't think he took it too lightly. I'm sure when he said it, he was messing with him but when they are on the field playing against one another, they will want to get the best of each other. Especially after he made it public to everybody and it ended up backfiring. Playing around or not, it was still funny.

Chris gets pissed off any time he has a bad outing. He gave up a run to the Royals in save situation and still got the save. After the last out, he threw a ball from pitchers mound over the Center Field wall because he was disgusted he gave up a run.. Probably also frustrated that his left fielder didn't realize what was going on in the game. Not to mention he still had dinner with Valencia after the game.

Yeah, it was all in good fun. I just didn't know anything about it, seen on MLB Network where they showed what Perez said in reference to Valencia, then Danny hit the game winning walk-off single, it was just good--especially not knowing anything about it and then seeing that happen.

That's a reason they say closers are a different breed. Even in a win, which they are happy for the team, but if they don't perform they way they believe they can, they'll get upset. I've heard Chris Perez talk, and he seems like a pretty funny guy, and I was watching that highlight on sportscenter and they said Valencia was in Perez's wedding, and have known each other since they were 17. So yeah, it was just friends joking around. It's funny how it worked out like that.

Mets win last night and are at .500 again, David Wright should be back this weekend against the Marlins. As for Ike Davis, hes out for the year pretty much. There is just no length to the lineup and that is killing this team.

Apparently the Mets scouts are watching the Indians Double A team.. Drew Pomeranz is pitching the game but I doubt we trade him and I'm not sure we're even allowed to yet with the year after draft rule. Maybe they're watching the position players/bullpen arms.
